1991 record: 5-5
Returnees: Seniors Danny Boone (T/DT), Lars Unjhem (G/DT), Brian Triantafillos (C), Kwane Crawford (G/NG), Darin Brinkman (T), Steve Greening (WR), David Reich (TE/LB), Greg Seward (QB/S), Kelvin Stevens (WR/S), Erin Woodward (RB), Rudy Cooper (QB/DB); Juniors Jimmy Jackson (LB/G), Isaac Hunter (LB).
Newcomers to watch: Juniors John Motley (WR), John White (DE), Justin Lavis (G), Pedro Barbosa (G/C).
Coach's outlook: "We're very big up front, and we're going to open up our offense a lot. We still lack a lot of team speed. I think we have a chance to make the playoffs and be one of the better teams in the county."
Howard County Sun outlook: Like last year, the Bears are blessed with some of the bigger, better linemen in the county, led by Boone and Unjhem. Stevens, one of the faster players in the league, could emerge as an All-County receiver. The season jTC will come down to how well Seward directs the new one-back offense and how well an inexperienced secondary performs. With an easier September schedule, Hammond should break the .500 mark easily.
