SHOOTING: Eastern District -- A man and a teen-ager were shot last night while sitting on the front steps of a house in the 1000 block of E. Hoffman St. by two men with semiautomatic handguns. Christopher Murray, 32, of the first block of Dauber Court, was shot in the left shoulder and forehead. The other victim, Brian Knox, 16, of the 5000 block of Lodestone Way, was shot in the left side of his face. Both were reported in good condition at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. No motive was given for the 11:25 p.m. shooting.

ROBBERY: Central District -- An armed man accosted a resident of the first block of Morling Ave. while the victim was in the 200 block of Laurens St. early yesterday morning and robbed him of more than $30.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Two men robbed a 56-year-old resident of the 600 block of Linnard St. yesterday while he was walking home from work. The victim told police he was walking in the 900 block of Pennsylvania Ave. when two men standing near him called for him to stop. After approaching the two men, one of them stuck a hard object in his back while the other went through his pockets and stole more than $10.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Woodall St. was walking in the 100 block of W. Heath St. around 3 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked from behind by two men who struck him with their fists and robbed him of nearly $150. The man was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Southern District -- Someone broke into a condominium under construction on the 11th floor of the Harbor View Condominiums in the 1000 block of Key Highway between Wednesday night and yesterday morning and stole 250 feet of copper tubing.

ASSAULT: Southern District -- Police were seeking three men and two women who attacked a resident of the 1200 block of Glyndon Ave. around 10 p.m. in the 300 block of S. Carey St. and struck him several times with a stick and a baseball bat. The victim was not seriously injured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Two men were robbed of their money late last night inthe 700 block of Warwick Ave. The victims, one from the 2500 block of W. Lafayette Ave. and the other from the 900 block of Whitmore Ave., were walking with a female shortly after 11 p.m. when two men, one with a handgun, approached them from behind and ordered all three to give up their money. The two men were robbed of their wallet and cash, all valued at less than $25. The woman was not robbed, but was threatened by the gunman.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man with a handgun robbed a motorist of $200 while she waited for a light to change in the 1900 block of N. Bentalou St. The victim, a resident of the 3000 block of Harlem Ave., was stopped at the light yesterday afternoon when a man approached on the driver's side and told her to unlock the passenger's side door. After the woman unlocked the door, the man entered and ordered her to give him her money while pointing the gun at her.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A resident of the 1000 block of Wilmot Court was treated at Bon Secours Hospital early yesterday morning after he was attacked and beaten by several youths while walking in the 800 block of N. Payson St. The man told police at least four youths, one with a baseball bat, attacked him around midnight Wednesday for no apparent reason. Following treatment for minor injuries, the man was released.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2400 block of St. Stephen's Court was robbed of property valued at $100 by two men, one with a handgun, who accosted him in the 2300 block of Windsor Ave. shortly after 6 p.m. yesterday. Taken in the robbery was a wrist watch and a backpack that contained personal property.

THEFT: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man who entered a house in the 2400 block of Etting St. yesterday morning and stole a VCR valued at more than $200. The occupant told police she knows who stole the property.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Someone broke into a house in the 2300 block of W. Fayette St. and stole a zoom-lens 35mm camera valued at nearly $180.

THEFT: Western District -- Nearly $200 was stolen after someone entered a house in the 1800 block of Lorman St. yesterday. The money was kept in a bedroom and was reported missing when the occupant returned home yesterday. A 37-year-old man is being sought in connection with the theft.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police are seeking at least five men who broke into a house in the 2400 block of Woodbrook Ave. yesterday and stole a TV and several pieces of furniture. The property was valued at nearly $2,000.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Nearly $10 and a radio were stolen from a house in the 1500 block of N. Dukeland St. after someone broke into the house. The property had a total value of more than $400.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A 28-year-old resident of the 2000 block of W. Lafayette Ave. was starting her car in the 4400 block of Pimlico Road shortly after 2 a.m. yesterday when a man with a handgun demanded her purse. After taking the woman's purse, the man also robbed her of a set of keys.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Property valued at more than $200 was stolen from the Finger Tips beauty salon in the 4900 block of Liberty Heights Ave. after someone entered between Wednesday night and early yesterday morning.

BURGLARY TRY: Northwestern District -- Police were seeking two men who attempted to break into a nursing center late last night. An employee of the Brighton Manor Nursing Center in the 1500 block of N. Dukeland St. was emptying the trash around 10 p.m. when he heard a noise and saw two men attempting to break into the building through a ground-level window. When the two men realized the employee saw them, they ran toward an open gate. The employee grabbed onto one of the men but was unable to detain him.

ROBBERY/ARRESTS: Northern District -- Police arrested three men early yesterday morning and were holding them at the station pending armed robbery and handgun violation charges. A woman who lives in the 800 block of Belgian Ave. was walking in the 5200 block of York Road around 4 a.m. when she was stopped by three men, one armed, who robbed her of $20. A short time later, police arrested three suspects who were identified by the victim. Following charges, the men were expected to appear at a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

THEFT: Northern District -- Property valued at more than $400 was stolen out of a 1985 Toyota truck while it was parked in the 2700 block of W. Garrison Ave. Someone broke into the vehicle early yesterday morning by breaking a vent window and stole a stereo amplifier, sunglasses and a stereo speaker.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A lawn mower valued at more than $500 was stolen out of a garage in the 100 block of Witherspoon Road yesterday after someone entered by breaking window.

DOG THEFT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a teen-ager yesterday and charged him with stealing a dog. The dog, a German shepherd valued at $200, was inside the fenced rear yard of a house in the 2700 block of Woodland Ave. shortly after 1 p.m. yesterday when the youth entered and stole it. A short time later, police arrested the youth and recovered the dog. The dog's owner, a resident of the 2500 block of Elgin Ave., reported the theft.

Baltimore County

BURGLARY/ARREST: Towson District -- A 22-year-old Loch Hill-area man was arrested yesterday and charged with burglary, robbery, assault and a sex offense, following a break-in of an apartment in the first block of Linden Terrace early Wednesday morning. The victim, a woman in her 30s, was awakened around 2:30 a.m. by a man who entered her apartment from the fire escape. After striking the woman several times in the face and head, the man attempted to sexually assault her. When the woman cried out, the man struck her several more times before stealing her purse and escaping down the fire escape. After reporting the incident, the woman was taken to the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where she was treated for multiple bTC facial injuries and released. Police yesterday afternoon went to a house in the 6600 block of Loch Raven Boulevard and arrested Vincent Davis. After appearing before a District Court commissioner, the suspect was ordered held in lieu of $250,000 pending a bail review hearing today before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Parkville District -- Property valued at nearly $400 was stolen from a house in the 7800 block of Daniel Ave. yesterday morning after someone gained entry through a first-floor bathroom window. Taken in the break-in were a VCR and a telephone answering machine.

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Someone broke into a house in the first block of Coniston Road Wednesday night by breaking a window with a piece of plywood and ransacked several rooms. It was not immediately known if any property was taken.

BURGLARY: Towson District -- Stereo equipment valued at $300 was stolen from a house in the first block of Venus Court after someone gained entry by removing a window screen. The break-in occurred between Wednesday night and early yesterday.

BURGLARY: Towson District -- A TV and a VCR were stolen from a house in the 100 block of Comet Court after someone broke in by forcing the front door. The property, valued at nearly $400, was stolen early yesterday morning.

Anne Arundel County

ARSON: Severna Park -- Police are seeking help finding finding several teen-age boys who may have set two newspaper boxes on fire this week. The incidents were reported Tuesday and Monday nights and occurred a block from each other. Tuesday night, a resident of the 300 block of Hartman Drive was parking her car when she noticed her newspaper box was on fire. After putting the fire out, the resident looked inside th box and found a partially cut tennis ball filled with gasoline. A similar incident occurred Monday night in the 300 block of Marba Road. The Hartman Drive resident said the burnings may have been committed by some teen-agers who cursed her Monday night when she told them to walk on the sidewalk instead of across the backyards.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Property valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen from a home in the 8200 block of Kramer Court Tuesday night. Taken was a camera and other property.

BURGLARY: Pasadena -- Someone broke into a house in the 200 block of Maryland Ave. earlier in the week and stole more than $300.
