LONDON, Ontario -- Chris Gomez's leadoff home run in the bottom of the 11th inning gave the London Tigers a 3-2 victory over the Hagerstown Suns in a Double-A Eastern League game last night.
The loss by the Suns (57-76) completed a 1-7 road trip and was also the final road game of the season. Hagerstown went 30-40 in those games.
Gomez's home run, his first as a professional, came on a 2-0 pitch from Jeff Pico. The Suns took a 2-0 lead in the second on a two-run homer by Greg Roth. The Tigers tied the score on a two-run double by Tyrone Kingwood.
