Bottling clerk, 71

Funeral services for Emma Gertrude Harman, a former bottling clerk who worked for Seagram's Distillery for 40 years, will take place at 12:30 p.m. today at the Community Church of God in Glen Burnie.

Ms. Harman, 71, died Sunday at the Washington Adventist Hospital.

A native of Elkridge, Ms. Harman attended Elkridge High School. She retired from Seagram's in 1982 and was living in Glen Burnie.

An active member of the Community Church of God, Ms. Harman served as the church's treasurer. She was also president of the Missionary Society and took part in other church activities.

She is survived by a brother, Stanley Lee Harman, of Florida; a sister, Ethel M. Benson, of Glen Burnie; and a nephew, Brian L. Benson, of Boise, Idaho.

Arrangements were by the Singleton Funeral Home.

Walter J. Morgan, 76, Army sergeant

Funeral services for Walter John Morgan Sr. of Millersville, a retired sergeant in the U.S. Army, will take place at 11:30 a.m. Thursday at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 851 Annapolis Road in Gambrills.

Mr. Morgan, 76, died Aug. 24 of a pulmonary embolism at the Greater Laurel Beltsville Hospital.

Mr. Morgam, who was originally from Salem, Mass., was a Roman Catholic and a life member of the American Legion. Other interests included the Baltimore Orioles.

He is survived by his wife, Alice Mae Morgan, of Salem, Mass.; three children, Walter J. Morgan Jr., also of Salem, Beverly J. Schwink, of Annapolis, and Robert C. Morgan, of Glen Burnie; a sister, Ruth Bohaczyk, of Atlanta, Ga., 10 grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association of Maryland, 540 E. Belvedere, Baltimore, 21212.
