Business-to-Business Expo '92 deadline

The deadline to reserve booth space at the Anne Arundel Business-to-Business Expo '92 is Aug. 26.

Sponsored by the Anne Arundel Trade Council and the Chamber of Commerce for Anne Arundel County, Expo '92 will feature space for 136 exhibits, including new business mini-booths available to companies that have begun operation since Jan. 1, 1990. Expo '92 is scheduled for Sept. 18.

Business women meet Sept. 9

The Glen Burnie Business and Professional Women's Club monthly meeting will be on Sept. 9 at 6 p.m. at the North County Library on Ritchie Highway, Glen Burnie.

The speaker will be Del. Joan Cadden, who will discuss the issue of abortion. The club also will sponsor a membership drive Sept. 13 from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m. at the Harundale Mall Community Room, second level.

BTR Realty Inc. earnings surge

Linthicum-based BTR Realty Inc., a nationwide owner and operator of shopping centers, offices and industrial buildings, announced its six-month earnings.

Earnings before depreciation, amortization and deferred taxes were $1,587,085 for the six months ended June 30, compared with $335,215 for the same period in 1991.

Loews Hotel unveils 'Kids Program'

Loews Annapolis Hotel is offering a new Loews Kids Program to serve its younger guests.

Upon check-in, all children will receive a Loews Kids Packet containing a coloring book, crayons, candy, decals, a Frisbee and bumper stickers. Children also will be able to contact the concierge to order games of Twister, Monopoly, Life or Scrabble to be delivered to guest rooms.

The hotel provides complimentary shuttle service to a nearby swimming pool and a video arcade for children under adult supervision. Youngsters with an interest in cooking can sign up for the Cook's Tour, which takes place at 2 p.m. on Saturdays.

The hotel is located on West Street at the gateway to Annapolis' historic district.
