The Battle of Second Manassas will be staged at James S. Long Park in Haymarket, Va., next Sunday. Record crowds are expected to celebrate the battle's 130th anniversary.

The battle will be re-enacted in two stages: the Battle of Burnside Farm at 9:30 a.m. and Jackson's Defense/Longstreet's Counterattack at 1:30 p.m. Union and Confederate camps will offer living history programs from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Activities include a Civil War camp church service, a concert of Civil War music, a fashion show, and medical and military demonstrations. Food vendors, sutlers and Civil War merchants will sell their food and wares.

Admission is $15 per car. Visitors are advised to arrive early, as gates close when the parking area is full. Take Interstate Highway 66 west to U.S. Route 15 north and follow signs to park. Call (703) 792-PARK, Ext. 340.
