3 graduate from Air Force Academy
Robert S. Corey, a 1988 graduate of Annapolis Senior High School and Geoffrey S. Sanders, a 1988 graduate from Chesapeake High School have recently graduated from the United States Air Force Academy in Colorado Springs, Colorado.
In addition, Darii A. Jones, daughter of Clyde and Judy Jones of Fort Meade also graduated from the Academy.
All were commissioned as second lieutenants upon graduation and awarded Bachelor of Science Degrees.
Five graduates from county schools have recently completed basic training.
Airman 1st Class Barry A. Connor, a 1989 graduate of Old Mill Senior High School and Airman Gary Stock, a 1991 graduate of Glen Burnie Senior High have completed Air Force Basic training.
Marine Pvt. Lilele K. Arlington of Annapolis, a 1991 graduate of Broadneck Senior High, and Marine Pvt. Warren V. Boswell of Harwood, a 1991 graduate of Southern Senior High School, have completed basic training in the Marine Corps. at Parris Island, S.C.
Army National Guard Pvt. Dawn E. Bicker, a 1988 graduate of Chesapeake High School completed training at Fort Jackson, Columbia S.C.
Karns gets a medal for gulf war service
Army Lt. Michael A. Karns has been awarded the Army Commendation Medal for service as a tank commander during Operation Desert Storm. Lieutenant Karns is with the 3rd Armored Cavalry.
He is a 1985 graduate of Severna Park High School as well as a 1989 graduate of the Virginia Military Institute.
Johnson decorated with Army medal
1st Lt. Christopher B. Johnson, the son of Calvin R. Dunlap of Annapolis, has been decorated with the Army Achievement Medal, awarded to soldiers for meritorious service, acts of courage or other outstanding achievements.
Kien completes infantry training
Army National Guard Pvt. Jason V. Kien, a 1987 graduate of Old Mill Senior High School, has completed training at the U.S Army Infantry School at Fort Benning in Columbus, Ga.
Macaluso finishes refueling training
Air National Guard 2nd Lt. John V. Macaluso, a 1981 graduate from Old Mill High School, has completed training as a refueling operator at Castle Air Force Base, in Merced, Calif.
Two graduate from supply course
Army National Guard Sgts. Mark L. Wilton and Gregory S. Akers have graduated from the unit supply course at Fort Lee in Petersburg, Va.
Sergeant Wilton is a 1985 graduate of Chesapeake High School.
Sergeant Akers is a 1977 graduate of Old Mill Senior High.
Two are assigned to new Army bases
Two 1989 graduates from Chesapeake High School have recently been assigned to new bases.
Army Spc.. Paul L. Harrington recently arrived at Schofield Barracks, Oahu Hawaii, for duty as a Morse interceptor.
Army Pvt. Trinette A. Moonefield recently arrived at Fort Stewart, Hinesville, Ala., for duty as a military police Specialist.
