Man shoots jogger with stun gun

A 21-year-old Severna Park woman told county police a man shot her with a stun gun as she was jogging along Benfield Road Tuesday.

According to police, Merideth Ellen Lathbury of the first block of Riverside Drive was jogging near Truckhouse Road at 11 p.m. when a man approached her and asked her if she knew where Pin Oak Road was. When she said she didn't, he shot at her with a stun gun.

Man charged with manufacturing PCP

A Glen Burnie man was charged with manufacturing PCP after police searched his home Thursday night and seized film canisters containing the drug.

Michael Curtis Zucco, 31, of the 6400 block of Grafton Garth Court also was charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP, police said.

Investigators said officers served a warrant at Mr. Zucco's home at 8 p.m., and seized 20 grams of PCP worth about $600 and other paraphernalia.

PCP, cocaine seized in Severn drug raid

County police seized PCP, cocaine and marijuana from a Severn home during a drug raid Thursday night.

Detectives said narcotic officers served a warrant at the home in the 8000 block of Telegraph Road at 9:30 p.m. after receiving complaints of drug trafficking coming from the house.

John Ronald Johnson, 38, 8000 block of Telegraph Road, and Robert Daniel Watts, 23, 1400 block of Watts Ave., were charged with possession with intent to distribute PCP, possession of marijuana and possession of cocaine.

Police confiscated a 1-ounce bottle of PCP liquid, a glass jar containing PCP flakes, and a small amount of cocaine and marijuana.

78-year-old man dies driving on Route 50

A 78-year-old New Jersey man died Thursday after he had chest pains as he was driving on Route 50 and lost control of his car and hit a highway barrier.

John Ellis Haskell of Woodstown, N.J., was driving his 1992 Buick on Route 50 east about 3:15 p.m. when he began to have chest pains and his car ran off the road. Police said Mr. Haskell died of heart failure and not the injuries he received in the accident.
