Drug suspect charged after traffic stop
A Prince George's County man wanted by police on drug charges was arrested Friday night after a traffic stop in Lothian.
Members of the Southern District tactical narcotics team stopped the man, whose car was seen at an alleged drug transaction earlier that day. Police said they found $1,200 worth of cocaine and $400 cash in the car.
Victor W. White, 28, of the 1400 block of Brooke Road, Capitol Heights, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
3 juveniles charged in school break-in
Three juveniles were charged Saturday morning with breaking into Ferndale Elementary School.
Police said the youths, whose ages were not given, broke a window on the northeast side of the building and climbed inside the school, in the 100 block of Packard Ave., about 12:45 a.m.
An officer responding to reports someone was in the building caught the youths, who each were charged with breaking and entering, and destruction of property.
The youths were released into the custody of their parents.
Shady Side man faces drug charge
A 36-year-old Shady Side man was charged with drug possession and resisting arrest Saturday after he was stopped for allegedly driving with a suspended license.
A county police officer spotted the man driving near Route 468 and Scott Town Road. When the man was stopped around 9:40 p.m. at Scott Town and Nick roads, he pulled away from the officer and ran.
After a brief chase, the officer apprehended the suspect and found PCP in his possession, police said.
Police also charged Ronald C. Ward, of the 1200 block of Spruce Ave., with driving with a suspended license.
