Lester Clyde Hinckle Jr., 60, died Tuesday at his home. He was the son of Edna H. Hinckle of Bellwood, Pa., and the late Lester C. Hinckle Sr. He was the husband of Rita E. Hinckle. A retired chief operator for Transcontinental Gas and Pipe Co., he also was a member of the Sykesville Moose Lodge. In addition to his wife and mother, survivors include a daughter, Susan R. Rosier of Sykesville; son, Stevan J. Hinckle of Warrenton, Va.; and three grandchildren.

Sykesville

E. Elizabeth Miller, 76, died Wednesday at Carroll County General Hospital. She was the wife of the late Edward C. Miller. She had been employed in the accounting department of Martin Marietta Co. in Baltimore County. Survivors include a daughter, Nancy Huff of Sykesville; sister, M. Catherine Curtis; brother, William E. Sadler; five grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.

Westminster

Elizabeth French Howard, 75, died Wednesday at Carroll County General Hospital. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Thomas E. and Katherine Howard of Westminster, and four grandchildren. The family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.

Lillie M. "Billie" Brauning, 85, died Thursday at Homewood at Plum Creek in Hanover, Pa. A hairdresser, she had worked at salons in Baltimore for 40 years. Survivors include a brother, Horace S. Brauning of Finksburg; a sister, Edna R. Brauning of Westminster; and many nieces and nephews. The family requests memorial contributions to the American Cancer Society.
