There were two mistakes in a recipe in a story in last week's A La Carte about cookbook author Lora Brody. Here is the corrected recipe. The Sun regrets the errors.

Mom's basic meatloaf

Yield: 6 servings

1 pound lean ground beef

1 pound ground pork, or 2 pounds ground beef in all

2 eggs

1 cup tomato juice, or V8 vegetable juice

1/2 cup bread crumbs, seasoned bread crumbs, cooked white or brown rice, or rolled oats

1/3 cup Worcestershire sauce

3 tablespoons prepared mustard

1 medium onion, peeled and diced

1 envelope Lipton Onion Recipe Soup Mix

Heat oven to 375 degrees, with the rack in the center position. Spray a 6-cup loaf pan with nonstick vegetable cooking spray. Place all the ingredients except the ketchup in a large mixing bowl and work them together with your hands until they are well combined.

Place the mixture in the prepared loaf pan, patting it down while forming it higher in the center with a rim around the edge. Pour enough ketchup on top to cover.

Put the loaf pan in a foil-lined roasting pan (to catch any overflow) and bake 1 hour. Drain off any accumulated liquid before serving.
