SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 5300 block of Eastbury Ave. was shot Monday night in the 1800 block of W. Fayette St. Police said the victim, Isaac Hayes, was shot in the ankle and taken to an area hospital where he was treated and released. Police said the victim did not recognize the gunman and they had no motive for the shooting.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 600 block of N. Mount St. reported he was riding his bicycle near his home shortly before 2 a.m. yesterday when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who forced him off the bike and stole it. Police said the victim was not injured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A driver for the Royal Cab Co. in the 2500 block of W. Lexington St. reported he was in the 200 block of Elgin Ave. shortly after 3 a.m. yesterday when a passenger he picked up earlier pulled out a semi-automatic handgun and demanded his money. Police said after the gunman robbed the cabbie of more than $70, he fled.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said two men accosted a resident of the 800 block of W. Lexington St. as he walked in the first block of N. Amity St. over the weekend and robbed him of his wallet containing $15 while threatening him with bodily harm. Police said neither man was armed and the victim was not injured.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a man was robbed of his money yesterday afternoon while walking in the 2300 block of Braddish Ave. Police said the victim, a resident of the 2900 block of Walbrook Ave., was walking down the street shortly after 1 p.m. when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. They took less than $10 and fled on foot.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today continued their search for two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed a man of his car yesterday afternoon. The victim, a resident of the 1800 block of W. Fayette St., reported he was in the 400 block of N. Carey St. around 3 p.m. when two men robbed him of his red 1987 Sterling 4-door sedan bearing state license plates ZFP-553.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police were seeking a 26-year-old man in the armed robbery last evening of a man in the 2800 block of W. North Ave. The victim, a resident of the 2700 block of Baker St , reported he was walking down the street around 6:15 p.m. when he was assaulted by a man armed with a knife who placed the weapon to his neck and demanded his money. Police said the armed man took more than $300. Police said they had learned a suspect's name and a warrant was to be issued for his arrest.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Hilldale Ave. reported he was walking in the 3400 block of Park Heights Ave. around 11 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded his money. Police said the victim gave the gunman and his accomplice $60. Police said the victim was not injured.

BURGLARY: Northwestern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 2700 block of Druid Park Drive yesterday through the front window and stole a TV set and a VCR. Police said the property was valued at nearly $400. Police said the intruder left by the front door.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Vine St. reported she was in the 3900 block of Cranston Ave. early yesterday when she was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who ordered her to give up her money. Police said the victim gave up more than $100 to the men, who escaped on foot.

ROBBERY/ARREST: Southwestern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he robbed a man of a small sum of cash yesterday morning. Police said the victim, a resident of the 1200 block of Oakcrest Road, was in the first block of S. Pulaski St. around 8:30 a.m. when he was stopped by a man he knows who pointed a handgun at him and demanded his money. Police said the gunman fled after being given $15 and was arrested a short time later.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- An employee of the Poplar Laundromat in the 900 block of Poplar Grove St. reported two men entered the business around 7:30 p.m. yesterday and ordered him to give up money from the cash register. Police said one man was armed with a handgun, which he pointed at the employee. After being given an undisclosed sum of cash, the gunman and his accomplice left on foot.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into the Rite-Aid Pharmacy in the 3900 block of Erdman Ave. through a rear window of an attached garage and stole 28 cartons of cigarettes. Police said the cigarettes were valued at $500. Police said the break-in was discovered at 7 p.m. yesterday.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- An employee of an out-of-town electric company reported that while his company-owned van was parked in the 4200 block of Diller Ave. Monday night or Tuesday morning someone broke into the vehicle by cutting a lock off the door and stole several ladders.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3500 block of E. Northern Parkway reported that someone entered onto the front porch of her home yesterday and stole furniture valued at more than $500.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- An employee of Discount Tire Express in the 6500 block of Belair Road reported that someone apparently hid inside the building before closing time yesterday, then stole money from the cash register. Police said the lack of signs of forced entry indicated the thief hid in the store until employees left for the day. Police said evidence was found that showed the thief opened a window from the inside to escape.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police said a boarder at a house in the 4800 block of Hamilton Ave. left the premises Monday night or Tuesday morning and took furniture and a TV set that belonged to the landlord. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,000.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 2400 block of Maryland Ave. reported that someone stole a 2,000 BTU air-conditioner from a dwelling he owns in the 5200 block of Frankford Ave. Police said the appliance was valued at $500.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone entered a dwelling in the 2300 block of Nutmeg Terrace Monday and stole jewelry valued at $400. Police said the lack of signs of forced entry indicated the house may have been entered with a key.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a house in the 3000 block of Rosalind Ave. this week and stole a jacket valued at $400. Police said a woman seen leaving the house shortly before the break-in was reported was being sought. Police said entry was gained through a window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police were seeking two men in the burglary of a house in the 2700 block of Guilford Ave. A ring valued at more than $200 was taken.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported that a driver for the Sun Cab Co. in the 2600 block of Sisson St. was robbed yesterday afternoon by two men, one armed with a silver plated handgun, near the cab company's office. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with more than $100.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of Staples office supplies in the 5800 block of York Road reported that someone entered their building Monday night or yesterday morning and stole a computer valued at more than $2,000. Police said the computer was stolen after the intruder cut the security cable that fastened it to the display shelf.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 2500 block of N. Calvert St. reported that someone forced their way into his home early yesterday and stole property valued at $1,000. Police said the intruder escaped with a safe, TV set, VCR and a microwave oven.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Employees of the Rite-Aid Pharmacy in the 2800 block of Greenmount Ave. reported that someone broke into their store early Monday and stole 20 watches and several cartons of cigarettes. Police said the property was valued at $800 and that entry was gained by breaking a front window.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police reported two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the Lord Baltimore Laundry in the 5700 block of York Road yesterday afternoon and ordered an employee to give them money from the cash register. Instead of waiting for the clerk to comply with their demand, police said the men picked up the cash register and ran out the door. Police said the total value of the cash register and money contained inside it was not known.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 1000 block of St. Dunstan's Road reported she was walking near her home around 11 p.m. yesterday when she was approached from the rear by a man armed with a handgun who ordered her to give up her money and other property. Police said the gunman escaped with cash and jewelry, all valued at nearly $500.

Baltimore County

ARSON: Parkville District -- Police reported that someone set fire to an outdoor storage shed containing lawn and garden equipment early today, causing at least $4,000 in damage. A resident of the 9300 block of Fullerdale Ave. told police he was awakened about 1:20 a.m. by the glow of flames coming from the shed in the rear of his neighbor's house. Firefighters responding to the blaze extinguished the flames in about 10 minutes, but not before the shed and most of its contents were destroyed. No arrests had been made in the case, and it remains under investigation by the police and the Fire Department's arson squad.

Anne Arundel County

FUGITIVE ARRESTED: Annapolis -- A man wanted by Florida police on drug charges was arrested over the weekend when he assaulted a city police officer who recognized him as a fugitive. Police said Vernon E. Estep, 34, of the 100 block of Victor Parkway, was stopped by a city police officer Saturday when the officer recognized him as being sought on a fugitive warrant. While the officer was interviewing the man shortly before 2 a.m., the man struck the policeman and attempted to flee. Police said Mr. Estep was arrested without further incident. The man also was charged with assaulting the officer, resisting arrest and possession of cocaine. The cocaine, police said, was found on the man when police searched him. The name of the officer was not available.

BURGLARY: Brooklyn Park -- A resident of the 900 block of S. Highland Ave. reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend and stole a lawn mower. Police said the property was valued at more than $350 and that entry was gained through a door.

BURGLARY: Edgewater -- Police reported that jewelry valued at more than $1,000 was stolen over the weekend after someone forced the door of a house in the 2300 block of South Crain Highway.

BURGLARY: Severn -- Police said cash and other property, all valued at more than $1,000, was stolen from a home in the 8200 block of Quarterfield Road over the weekend after someone entered through a door.
