Alan C. Stewart Carpenter, 61


Services for former carpenter Alan C. Stewart of Glen Burnie will take place at 11 a.m. today, at the Singleton Funeral Home.

Mr. Stewart, 61, died June 14 of cancer at Kimbrough Army Hospital.

He was originally from Stamford, Conn., and graduated from Towson High School in 1947.

Mr. Stewart served in the U.S. Army from 1947 to 1969, and worked as a construction carpenter.

His interests included his family and camping.

Survivors include his wife of 29 years, the former Elisabeth Stewart; two daughters, Sandra Tate and Michelle Sanders, both of Glen Burnie; a sister, Elsie S. Schuetz, and stepmother, Alice H. Stewart, both of Darien, Conn.; a niece; and three nephews.
