ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- A 33-year-old resident of the 2000 block of E. Baltimore St. reported he was in the first block of N. Chester St. early yesterday when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the gunman fled after the victim gave up his wallet containing $6.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Southeastern District -- Police yesterday arrested a man and charged him with breaking into a woman's apartment and threatening her with a handgun. Police said the victim was in her apartment in the first block of S. Exeter St. when a man armed with a handgun forced his way in and threatened to shoot her. Officers responding after someone dialed 911 arrested the man without incident. Police said Gerald Long, 41, of the 2500 block of W. Franklin St., was being held at the police station pending a bail hearing. Police said the incident appeared to be domestic.

BURGLARY: Southeastern District -- The owner of Robert's Barber Shop in the 6200 block of Eastern Ave. reported that when he opened for business yesterday morning he discovered that someone had broken into his shop and stole more than $500 worth of barber tools and supplies. Police said entry was gained by breaking a window.

ROBBERY: Southeastern District -- Police said a resident of the 3900 block of Chesterfield Ave. was in the 1800 block of E. Fayette St. shortly before 4 p.m. Wednesday when he was attacked from the rear by two teen-aged boys who knocked him to the ground and robbed him of his wallet. The 47-year-old victim told police his wallet contained a small sum of cash.

BURGLARY/ASSAULT: Southeastern District -- Police reported a resident of the 1600 block of Portugal St. arrived home around 6 p.m. yesterday and surprised an intruder. Police said the intruder and the occupant became involved in a struggle before the intruder escaped. Police said nothing appeared to have been taken.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police reported a resident of the 1100 block of N. Gilmor St. was walking near her home late Wednesday night when she was assaulted by a teen-aged boy who robbed her of her earrings. Later, police arrested a suspect and were holding him at the station pending charges.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 800 block of Arlington Ave. reported that someone broke into his apartment Wednesday evening and stole nearly $100.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said two men attacked a man as he was walking in the 2200 block of Pennsylvania Ave. early yesterday and robbed him of his money. The victim, a resident of the 2100 block of McCulloh St., told police he was robbed of about $200 after he was struck on the face and pushed to the ground. Police said the victim was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police reported that someone forced the door to an apartment in the 1100 block of Harlem Ave. Wednesday and stole $200 and a telephone. Police said the telephone was valued at $30.

ASSAULT/ARREST: Western District -- Police yesterday arrested a man and were holding him at the station on charges that he pointed a handgun at another man. The victim, a resident of the 1100 block of N. Carey St., told police that at around 7 a.m. yesterday, a man he knows pointed a handgun at him and threatened to shoot. Police said the victim was not injured and that the suspect was arrested nearby without incident.

ROBBERY: Western District -- An East Baltimore man reported he was walking in the 2300 block of Etting St. yesterday afternoon when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim complied, giving the gunman $50 in cash. The gunman fled on foot.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Police said property valued at nearly $1,200 was stolen from a dwelling in the 2600 block of Mosher St. after someone broke into the house yesterday. Police said the intruder escaped with a cordless telephone, two gold earrings and a gold chain.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 300 block of Font Hill Ave. reported that someone forced their way into his home between Tuesday night and Wednesday morning and stole property valued at more than $1,000. Police said the intruder took stereo equipment and a TV set.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A female resident of the Bernard E. Mason Apartments in the 2100 block of Windsor Gardens Lane reported she was walking in the 700 block of Franklintown Road late Wednesday night when she was accosted by a man in his mid-20s who twisted her arm and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all valued at about $50.

ASSAULT: Southern District -- A resident of the 800 block of Glade Court reported that at his house Wednesday he was struck him with a hammer by a man he knows. Police said the victim was not seriously injured and the other man was being sought.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police said a Brooklyn resident was shopping at a grocery store in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave. Wednesday night when a man walked by and took $25 from her hand. Police said the women chased the man out of the store but was unable to catch him.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- A resident of the 100 block of Sorrento Ave. reported he was in the 1300 block of Ramsay St. early yesterday when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim complied, giving the gunman about $100. Police said the gunman escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police said a man armed with a handgun stopped a resident of the 600 block of Cheraton Road as he walked in the 800 block of Cherry Hill Road early yesterday morning and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim gave $30 to the gunman.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 200 block of E. 33rd St. reported that someone broke into his home between Wednesday night and yesterday and stole his furnace. Police said the furnace was valued at $500 and that entry was gained by unlocking a door after reaching into a broken window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a house in the 4100 block of St. George's Ave. yesterday that had been burglarized earlier and stole stereo equipment, a TV set and two leather coats. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,000. Police said entry was gained through an unlocked front door that had been forced open and broken during the earlier break-in.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that jewelry valued at more than $1,200 was stolen from a house in the 200 block of Goodwood Road yesterday. Police said entry was gained through an unlocked second-story window.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 700 block of Evesham Ave. reported someone stole his combination cassette and compact-disc player after breaking into his home through an unlocked bathroom window. Police said the property was valued at more than $400.

THEFT: Northern District -- An employee of Mike Albert Leasing Inc. in the 3000 block of St. Paul St. reported that someone broke into one of their cars parked in the 100 block of E. 30th St. between Wednesday and yesterday and stole a cellular phone, briefcase and several T-shirts. Police said the property was valued at more than $600.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police said a TV set was reported stolen from a house in the 300 block of E. University Parkway Wednesday after someone broke a pane of glass out of a door. Police said the property was valued at more than $300.

ANNE ARUNDEL

RAPE: Pasadena -- Police today were searching for a man who entered a home in the 7800 block of Kess Circle last night and raped a woman while threatening to cut her with a knife. The victim told police she was in her bedroom about 8:45 p.m. when a man she recognized entered the room and forced her down on the bed at knifepoint. There, according to police, the man raped the woman while holding a knife against her body. After the man fled, the woman ran to the home of a neighbor, who called police. The victim was taken to North Arundel Hospital, where she was treated for a cut lip and released. Police said a warrant was expected to be issued for the arrest of a 27-year-old man.

THEFT: Fort Meade -- Police reported that someone broke into the math department book room at Meade High School and stole a TV set and a VCR. Police said the theft was reported over the weekend and that the value of the recently purchased equipment was not known. Police said the room was entered by prying open a door.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- A resident of the 400 block of Berkshire Drive reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole several pieces of jewelry. Police said the jewelry was valued at more than $1,000.

BURGLARY: Brooklyn Park -- Police reported that someone forced their way into a house in the 500 block of Terrace Ave. and stole property valued at more than $5,000. Police said the burglar escaped with appliances and other pieces of house hold property and that entry was gained by forcing a door.

BURGLARY: Crofton -- Police said appliances and other property, all valued at more than $3,000, were stolen from a home in the 2200 block of Defense Highway after someone forced a door.

BURGLARY: Severna Park -- A resident of the 400 block of Old County Road reported that clothing and ski equipment was stolen after someone broke into his home. Police said the property was valued at $1,000.
