21 girls from area in national tourney


A team of 21 high school girls lacrosse players from Baltimore will compete for a national schoolgirl championship at this weekend's U.S. Women's Lacrosse Association National Tournament at the University of Maryland College Park.

The roster: The Baltimore team is coached by Friends' Judy Turnbaugh and includes attack players Michele DeJuliis, Loch Raven; Sarah Flaxenburg, Garrison Forest; Katie Lattik, St. Paul's; Giovanna Webster, Mount de Sales; Helen Marie Meiser and Erin Welsh, Seton Keough; and Becca Fink, Broadneck. Defenders are Erin Wylde, Severna Park; Andrea Cuzmanes, Mount Hebron; Tori Lyall, McDonogh; Nicole Brahim, Oldfields; Robyn Disney, Loch Raven; Andrea Krumholz, Friends, Karyn Buczek and Melissa Reese, Seton Keough; Liza Shoemaker and Caroline Rosenberg, Garrison Forest; and Carrie Silliman, St. Timothy's. Tammy Kloiber, Fallston, and Audrey Powers, Mount de Sales, are the goalies.
