Stress and burned out workers

A study by the Northwestern National Life Insurance Co. on workplace stress and burnout says job stress during these recessionary times is destroying the mental and physical health of many private-sector workers and eroding their productivity. The research director said 46 percent of private sector workers feel increasing pressure to demonstrate their worth to employers because of the recession. They also said they are being asked to do more work with fewer people and have too little time to get their work done.
