ARREST: Southern District -- A man charged with two counts of attempted murder in the shootings Sunday of his ex-girlfriend and another man gave himself up to police yesterday and was being held at the station lockup pending a bail review hearing today in District Court. Police said Stephen Marsh, 22, of Jessup in Anne Arundel County, walked into the station around 11 a.m. yesterday and was arrested. He was charged in a warrant with shooting his ex-girlfriend, Mikele Saturday, 23, of the 5200 block of Fourth St. in Glen Burnie, and her companion, Paul Merrell, 23, of the 2000 block of Preston Road in Harundale. Mr. Marsh also is charged with using a handgun in the commission of a felony. The incident occurred about 2 p.m. when the couple, riding in Mr. Merrell's Ford Bronco, stopped at a traffic light at Hanover Street and Waterview Avenue. Police said Mr. Marsh, pulled up alongside in a Mustang and ordered them out of the Bronco. When Mr. Merrell tried to drive off, police said, Mr. Merrell fired at least two shots from a handgun, hitting Ms. Saturday in the hand and Mr. Merrell in the left shoulder. Both victims were in stable condition today at Harbor Hospital Center.

ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of Greenmount Ave. reported he was walking in the 3200 block of Greenmount Monday morning when he was attacked from behind by two men who struck him several times in the face and robbed him of cash, a gold necklace and a watch, all valued at more than $500. The victim was not seriously injured.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Police reported that someone forcibly entered a dwelling in the 700 block of E. 33rd St. over the weekend and stole computer equipment. Police said the property was valued at more than $2,000 and that entry was gained through a second-story window.

THEFT: Northern District -- Police said a Husky-type dog was stolen over the weekend by someone who entered a rear yard in the 2900 block of Miles Ave. and cut the dog's security chain that was attached to the house. The owner of the dog told police her pet was valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- Property valued at nearly $800 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 600 block of Harwood Ave. over the weekend after someone gained entry through a rear kitchen window. Police said the intruder escaped with a camera, jewelry and cash.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 800 block of N. Montford Ave. told police he was in the 1100 block of Whitelock St. Sunday night when he was accosted by two men, one armed with a handgun, who robbed him of three gold rings and a gold watch. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police were seeking a man who accosted a resident of the 1400 block of Presstman St. as he walked in the 2800 block of Ellicott Drive over the weekend and fired a shot at him. Police said the victim was walking alone around 6 p.m. Sunday when he met a man who began arguing with him. During the argument, the man pulled out a handgun and threatened to shoot him. Police said when the victim turned to flee, the gunman fired one shot that missed.

ASSAULT: Western District -- A Baltimore County man reported he was in the 2200 block of Etting St. Sunday night when he was attacked by several men, at least one armed with a length of wood, who struck him several times. Police said the victim, a resident of the 2800 block of Essex Road, suffered minor injuries but did not require medical attention.

ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a man armed with an unknown caliber handgun robbed two out-of-town residents Sunday morning while they walked in the 1200 block of W. North Ave. Police said the gunman threatened to harm the couple. The gunman took $20 from each victim.

SHOOTING/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a teen-ager late Monday night and charged him as a juvenile with assault in the shooting of a resident of the 1500 block of N. Smallwood St. Police said the victim was outside his home around 9 p.m. Monday when the youth shot him with a BB pistol. Police said the victim was not seriously injured and that the armed youth was arrested a short time later. Following charges, the teen-ager was released in the custody of his parents pending action by juvenile authorities.

SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Police reported that a man who was shot late Sunday night and was found lying in a stairwell of a building in the 300 block of W. North Ave. was in stable condition today at the University of Maryland Medical Center. Police said Albert Forbes, of no fixed address, was found bleeding from a gunshot wound to the left side around midnight Sunday by police responding to a report of a shooting. Police said they had no suspects in the shooting and no motive.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police today continue to seek a man who robbed a Wilkens Avenue service station at gunpoint Monday. Police said that around 6 a.m., a man armed with a handgun entered Vernon's Crown station in the 3500 block of Wilkens Ave. and ordered the attendant to give him the contents of the cash register. Police said the gunman escaped with about $100.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Wakefield Road reported he was walking in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road Monday afternoon when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who demanded he give up his money. Police said the victim complied and that the gunman and his accomplice escaped with $41.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $400 was stolen from a dwelling in the 2100 block of Hollins St. after someone gained entry through a bedroom window. Police said the break-in occurred Monday between 7 a.m. and 4 p.m.

SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- Police said a resident of the 2900 block of Greenmount Ave. was treated at a hospital for shotgun pellet wounds after he was shot early Sunday while walking in the 2800 block of Harford Road. Kevin Mason told police he was walking alone around 3 a.m. Sunday when he heard what sounded like a gunshot. Mr. Mason told police he then felt pain in his left arm and back and realized that he had been shot. At Johns Hopkins Hospital, emergency room physicians treated Mr. Mason for wounds caused by several shotgun pellets and released him. Police said no arrest had been made in the incident and that it was not immediately known if Mr. Mason was a gunman's intended target or if he was shot by accident.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police said a man was robbed of his money Monday afternoon while seated in his car which was stopped at a traffic light. The victim, of the 3400 block of Hickory Ave., told police he was stopped at a light in the 2500 block of Kirk Ave. around 4 p.m. Monday when a man armed with a handgun approached and ordered him to give up his money. Police said the victim gave more than $50 to the gunman, who escaped on foot.

BANK ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported a man robbed the First National Bank in the 1700 block of E. Northern Parkway Monday and escaped with an undisclosed sum. Police said a man entered the bank at 9:55 a.m. and immediately walked up to a teller. He told her to give him all the money in her cash drawer but did not display a weapon. After he was given some cash, the man turned and fled out the front door.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- Two men armed with handguns robbed an auto supply store in the 4100 block of Patterson Ave. Monday night and escaped. Police said two men entered the Hi-Gear auto supply store at 8 p.m. Monday and ordered an employee to give them the contents of the cash register while pointing handguns at him. Police said the employee turned over an undisclosed sum to the robbers, who escaped on foot.

ROBBERY: Northwestern District -- A resident of the 6800 block of Park Heights Ave. reported he was walking near his home around 4 a.m. yesterday when he was accosted by a man armed with a knife who ordered him to give up his wallet and jewelry. Police said the victim complied. The value of the property was not immediately known.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Garrison District -- Police reported a man and his female companion robbed a fabric shop in the Chartley Shopping Center Monday night and escaped with an unknown sum. Police said the couple entered Jo-Ann Fabrics, in the 100 block of Chartley Drive, around 9:30 p.m. and looked around for a few minutes before the man pulled out a handgun and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register. Witnesses said the couple escaped in a maroon Mazda.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police said a man armed with a handgun and a female accomplice robbed a Gwynn Oak Avenue bicycle shop Monday afternoon of cash and two cyclist's helmets. Police said the couple entered the Cross Country Cycle Center in the 2100 block of Gwynn Oak Ave. around 4:30 p.m. and ordered an employee to give them the contents of the cash register. Before fleeing, the couple took two bike-riding helmets. Police said it was not known if the couple who robbed the cycle shop was the same team that robbed the fabric shop on Chartley Drive several hours later.

Anne Arundel County

THEFT: Glen Burnie -- County police today were seeking the occupants of a car with Pennsylvania registration who stole several thousand dollars worth of men's rings from a jewelry store in the Glen Burnie Mall yesterday afternoon. Police said two men entered Zale's jewelers in the 6700 block of Ritchie Highway around 2 p.m. yesterday and asked to see some pinky rings. After looking at several rings, the men left. About 45 minutes later, police said, the jewelry store manager heard the sound of breaking glass at the front of the store and saw two men, reportedly the same ones, reach into the broken display window and grab a large assortment of rings. Police said the men escaped with $9,000 worth of men's rings after breaking the window with a sledge hammer. Witnesses told police the men speeded along Ritchie Highway then entered the inner loop of the Baltimore Beltway. The robbers were in a 1985 Pontiac 2000 bearing Pennsylvania plates ACR-5598.

DRUG ARREST: Annapolis -- Police arrested an Edgewater man over the weekend and charged him with possession of heroin. A police officer was walking near the Merritt Athletic Club on Moreland Parkway Saturday night when he saw a man throw a small bag into some nearby bushes. After the officer stopped the man, he searched the bushes and found the bag that contained a small quantity of heroin. Charged with possession of heroin was Livingston S. Williams, 20, of the 800 block of Mayo Road. Police said bail information on Mr. Williams was not available.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- A resident of the 700 block of Bestgate Road reported that someone broke into his home by forcing a door and stole stereo equipment valued at $800.

BURGLARY: Deale -- Police said property valued at more than $500 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 5900 block of Pindell Road after someone gained entry by force. Police said several appliances and other household items were stolen.

BURGLARY: Glen Burnie -- Police said cash and a TV were stolen from a house in the 300 block of Crain Highway after someone broke in by forcing a door. Police said the property was valued at nearly $600.
