Stephanie C. Grasser, a commercial real estate appraiser in New Jersey who grew up in the Baltimore area, died of a stroke Thursday in Cancun, Mexico, where she was on vacation. She was 38.

Services for Mrs. Grasser were being held today at the Downing Funeral Home in Bethlehem, Pa.

The former Stephanie Crook was a graduate of Catonsville High School.

She is survived by her husband, Joseph Grasser; two stepsons, Joseph and Jason Grasser of Hopatcong; her father, James A. Crook of Hagerstown; a brother, Timothy J. Crook of Edgewood; and a sister, Debra Crook of Orlando, Fla.
