Sunday's editions of The Sun incorrectly reported the votes of three members of the House of Delegates on Senate Bill 1, which increased Maryland's cigarette taxes, applied the sales tax to many goods and services that were not covered, increased corporate filing fees and closed some income tax loopholes.
Delegates Marsha G. Perry, D-Anne Arundel; John G. Gary, R-Anne Arundel; and Paul E. Weisengof, D-Baltimore, all voted against the bill. That made the final vote 79-55, with six delegates not voting.
The Sun regrets the error.
