Play presents Mengele as a movie star

THE BALTIMORE EVENING SUN

The American Jewish Theater will present "Angel of Death" and "Big Al," two one-act plays about Hollywood and its influence.

Billy Hopkins is directing "Angel of Death," by the 26-year-old playwright Charlie Schulman, about the resurrection of Dr. Josef Mengele as a movie star.

"Big Al" is about a fan's obsession with none other than Al Pacino. It is written by the 25-year-old Bryan Gobuloff, directed by Peter Maloney. Evan Handler and Gus Rogerson co-star. Performances of both shows begin on April 25.
