THEFT: Northern District -- Someone broke into a locker at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. over the weekend and stole a student's wallet. The unidentified student told police the wallet contained more than $200. In another incident at the school, police said someone entered an unattended room over the weekend and stole stereo equipment valued at more than $100.

ASSAULT/ARRESTASSAULT/ARREST: Northern District -- Police arrested a 16-year-old and were holding him at the station in connection with the shooting early yesterday of Maurice Collick, of the 1000 block of Radnor Ave. Police said Mr. Collick was shot in the head with a large-caliber revolver in the 4500 block of The Alameda around 4:30 a.m. yesterday. Police said Mr. Collick sustained a minor head injury when the bullet grazed him and was admitted to a hospital for treatment.

BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 600 block of Homestead St. reported that someone broke into his apartment over the weekend by forcing a side door and stole a TV, stereo equipment, a compact disk player and a cassette player, all valued at nearly $1,000.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man reported he was in the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. around 10 p.m. Saturday when he was stopped by a man armed with a handgun who ordered him to surrender the contents of his pockets. Police said the gunman made off with a gold ring and cash, all valued at more than $150.

THEFT: Western District -- Someone entered the Jiffy Trailer & Hitch Co. in the 2100 block of N. Monroe St. by cutting a hole in the fence around 7 p.m. Saturday and stole two radial tires of unknown value.

CUTTING: Western District -- John Simms, of the 800 block of Harlem Ave., was assaulted by a man with a knife late Saturday night in the 1500 block of Harlem Ave. and was stabbed in the left wrist. Police said Mr. Simms was taken to a hospital for treatment and a man he knows is being sought in the stabbing.

ASSAULT: Western District -- Police today were seeking a man known as "Derrick" who is suspected of throwing a 7-year-old girl off a bridge in the 1400 block of N. Monroe St. Saturday night. Police said the girl, a resident of the 1300 block of N. Gilmor St., and the man were walking in the 1400 block of N. Monroe St. around 9 p.m. when the man, for an unknown reason, picked up the girl and threw her off the bridge. Police said the girl landed on an embankment several feet below and sustained injuries to her left leg and possible internal injuries. From the scene, she was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where she was admitted. Her condition was not known.

CUTTING: Western District -- Michael Washington was inside the Gentlemen 10 nightclub in the 2100 block of Edmondson Ave. around 1:15 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who stabbed him in the chest with a knife. Police said the man escaped. Mr. Washington was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center, where he was treated and admitted.

ROBBERY: Western District -- A man reported he was walking in the 2600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. early yesterday when he was accosted by two men who tried to rob him. Police said the victim, who was intoxicated, resisted and the men fled without taking any of his property. The victim told police that one of the men may have had a handgun.

THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Whittier Ave. reported that a man he knows entered his house yesterday afternoon and stole $200 worth of stereo equipment.

BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 1400 block of W. Fayette St. reported that someone broke into his third-floor apartment Saturday evening and stole a VCR and an AM-FM radio and cassette player. Police said the property was valued at more than $600 and the thief entered by kicking in a door.

BURGLARY: Western District -- Property valued at nearly $1,000 was stolen from a dwelling in the 2400 block of Eutaw Place over the weekend. Police said someone entered through a door and stole two rings and stereo equipment.

BURGLARY/ARREST: Western District -- Police arrested a man and were keeping him under guard at a hospital pending charges that he broke into the Jiffy Trailer & Hitch Co. in the 2100 block of N. Monroe St. yesterday afternoon with the intention of stealing. They said the man was spotted inside the company grounds and tried to escape by climbing over a fence with razor wire at the top. Police said he got to the top of the fence but fell to the pavement outside the property after cutting his arms. The man was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment. Following his release from the hospital, police said, the man was expected to be charged with burglary and attempted theft. They said he also was being investigated in connection with a series of thefts from the trailer company over the past two weeks.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Two residents of the 3500 block of Elmora Ave. reported that someone stole several feet of drain spouting from their homes over the weekend. Police said 10 feet of copper spouting taken from one house was valued at more than $400.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1500 block of Northgate Road reported that someone broke into his home over the weekend by breaking out a pane of glass in a front door and stole jewelry valued at $9,000, clothing, leather jackets, cash, two TVS and a VCR.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- A 2.5-horsepower lawn mower was reported stolen over the weekend from the back yard of a home in the 5400 block of Northwood Drive. Police said it was valued at more than $200.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1200 block of Gittings Ave. reported that property valued at nearly $2,600 was stolen from his home yesterday after someone got in through a rear basement door. Police said the intruder escaped with stereo equipment and several pieces of jewelry.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A 15-year-old girl told police she was in the 4000 block of Biddison Lane around 7 p.m. yesterday when a man in his mid-30s grabbed her purse and escaped with cash and property valued at more than $50.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4900 block of Goodnow Road told police that someone broke into his apartment over the weekend and stole property valued at more than $500. Police said the thief climbed onto a second-floor balcony and forced open a kitchen window.

STABBING: Northeastern District -- A 69-year-old resident of the 4800 block of Wright Ave. was in very critical condition today at the Francis Scott Key Medical Center after he was stabbed in the chest several times while talking to a man at the front door of his home early yesterday. Police said the victim, David McCaig, answered a knock at his door around 12:30 a.m. and was met by a man who said he was there to pick up something for his son. Police said the two men began to argue and Mr. McCaig was stabbed multiple times in the chest. Police said a suspect is being sought.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 4000 block of Southclare Road over the weekend through an unlocked living room door and stole a VCR valued at nearly $250.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 4900 block of Gunther Ave. reported that someone broke into his home Saturday night or yesterday morning by breaking a rear window and stole a clock-radio, clothing and stereo equipment, all valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police today were seeking a man in connection with the armed robbery last night of a Royal Farm convenience store in the 5200 block of Harford Road. They said a man entered the store shortly before midnight and purchased a pack of cigarettes. When the clerk opened the cash register, police said, the man pulled out a handgun and ordered the employee to give him all the cash. Police said the clerk handed over less than $100.

Baltimore County

ROBBERY: Wilkens District -- Police said a man escaped last night after robbing a convenience store in the 5200 block of Baltimore National Pike of an undisclosed sum. They said he entered the High's dairy store shortly before 11 p.m., walked behind the counter and placed a hard object against the back of an employee. The man, police said, then ordered the employee to open the cash register and give him all the currency. After taking the money, the man walked out of the store and was last seen walking west toward the city.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- A man wearing a pillow case with eye slits cut into it over his face and armed with a knife entered the 7-Eleven store in the 3800 block of Marriottsville Road shortly after 4 a.m. today and ordered a clerk to open the cash register. Police said that when the clerk became nervous and was unable to open the cash register, the masked man stepped behind the counter and began pushing buttons until the register opened. After taking an undisclosed sum, the man ran from the store.

Anne Arundel County

DRUG ARRESTS: Freetown Village -- Police early Friday raided an apartment in the 7800 block of Shirley Murphy Court, arrested two men on drug charges and confiscated 10 bags of crack cocaine with an estimated street value of $500. Charged with possession of cocaine with intent to distribute, simple possession of cocaine and giving police a false name was Keith Kellenberg Rose, 19, of New York City. Charged with possession of cocaine was Jarod Alberto Wallace, 33, of the 7800 block of Southhampton Drive in Glen Burnie. Police said the raid followed an undercover surveillance of the dwelling after narcotic squad officers received information from an informant.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- Someone broke into a dwelling in the 500 block of Bellerive Drive through a window and stole stereo equipment valued at $200.

BURGLARY: Annapolis -- A resident of the 2800 block of Carrollton Road reported that someone entered his home by forcing a door and stole a purse containing more than $100.

BURGLARY: Crofton -- Property valued at nearly $3,000 was reported stolen from a dwelling in the 1500 block of Crofton Parkway after someone got in through a door. Police said the burglar escaped with money and appliances.

Howard County

DRUG ARRESTS: Ellicott City -- A southwest Baltimore County couple and an Ellicott City man were arrested last week and charged with possession of PCP. Police said that after officers received a tip from a reliable informant that the three people were in possession of the drug, they encountered them on Main Street Wednesday night. As the officers approached, the three were seen dropping parsley flakes that were later examined and found to contain the drug. A search of the three by police led to the seizure of a one-ounce jar containing liquid PCP and several small packets containing PCP-laced parsley flakes. Police said Jeffrey Lee Teal, 33, and his wife, Shirley, 27, both of the 2700 block of Yarnall Road in Baltimore County, and Jimmie R. Collins, 29, of the 3700 block of St. Paul St in Ellicott City, were each charged with possession of PCP. Police said today that the Teals remain in the county detention center in lieu of $25,000 bail each, and Mr. Collins was released after posting $500 bail.
