CHARLES TOWN, W.Va. -- Beginning April 11, post time on Saturdays at the Charles Town Races will move from 6:30 p.m. to 7 p.m., track general manager Donald E. Hudson announced.
In a recent survey, fans favored a later starting time on Saturdays by a 3-1 margin, said Hudson. "We're hopeful that the later post time on Saturdays will give our fans a little more time to get here, yet still ensure that we're able to complete our summer cards by the midnight curfew."
Post time on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays will remain 1 p.m. for the balance of the 1992 racing season. The track had been granted the option to move to a later starting time during Daylight Savings Time, but the survey revealed a preference for the 1 p.m. post.
Effective April 11, Charles Town will have racing on Sundays, Mondays and Wednesdays, post time 1 p.m.; Fridays, post time 7:15 p.m.; and Saturdays, post time 7 p.m.
