Anthony Hopkins for best actor

Anthony Hopkins is the runaway winner among SUNDIAL respondents' choice for best actor in this year's Academy Awards. Warren Beatty came in dead last.

Hopkins' portrayal of Hannibal "the Cannibal" Lecter in "The Silence of the Lambs" received 135 votes over the weekend. Nick Nolte ("The Prince of Tides") was a distant second with 59 votes, followed by Robert De Niro ("Cape Fear") with 45 votes, Robin Williams ("The Fisher King") with 37 votes and Beatty ("Bugsy") with 31.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
