ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men reported they were in the 900 block of Bethune Road in the Cherry Hill section late Monday night when they were accosted by two men, one with a handgun, who demanded their money. Police said one of the victims, a resident of the 900 block of Bethune Road, had no money and that the second man, a resident of the 900 block of Joplea Ave., was robbed of nearly $50. Following the robbery, police said, the gunman and his accomplice escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police today were seeking a man known as "Mike" in connection with the armed robbery Monday night of a man in the 600 block of Bridgeview Ave. Police said the victim, a resident of the 600 block of Roundview Road, was stopped by two men, one with a handgun, shortly after 10 p.m. Monday and ordered to give up his cash. Police said the victim gave the gunman and his accomplice more than $50.
THEFT: Central District -- A resident of the 4500 block of Freedom Way reported someone broke into her care while it was was parked in the 100 block of W. Hamilton St. yesterday evening and stole a watch. Police said the watch was valued at more than $100 and that entry into the car was by breaking a window.
THEFT: Central District -- A resident of an apartment in the 800 block of George St. told police that upon returning home yesterday, he discovered his VCR was missing. The victim also told police that a man who had been staying with him also was gone. The victim told police the property was valued at more than $200.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- A resident of the 5500 block of Lothian Road reported that someone broke into her apartment Monday by forcing open the door and stole a 10-inch TV and a VCR. Police said the property was valued at $500.
THEFT: Northern District -- The owner of a house in the 3300 block of Westerwald Ave. told police that someone who rents the home from her moved out and took stereo equipment and a VCR. The property owner, a resident of the 2700 block of Barclay St., told police the property was valued at $2,000.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone entered the front yard of a house in the first block of W. Melrose Ave. yesterday and stole two wrought-iron chairs. The owner of the chairs told police the property was valued at $400.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Officials of the Church of Christ in the 500 block of W. University Parkway reported that someone broke into the main building between Monday morning and yesterday morning and stole a microwave oven. Police said the appliance was valued at more than $200 and that the intruder broke a pane of glass from a door to enter the building.
LARCENY: Northern District -- Police said a 20-inch, multi-speed bike, valued at $500, was stolen from the front porch of a dwelling in the 1300 block of Asbury Road. Police said the theft occurred between Monday and yesterday and that the bike was the property of a resident of the 700 block of W. 34th St.
THEFT: Northern District -- Police said someone broke into a vehicle while it was parked in the 400 block of W. 27th St. between Monday night and yesterday morning and stole tools and camping gear. The owner of the property, a resident of the 2700 block of Huntingdon Ave., told police the property was valued at more than $450 and that entry was gained by breaking a window.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at nearly $500 was stolen from a 1988 Ford Escort while it was parked in the 2500 block of Cecil Ave. between Monday night and yesterday morning. The owner of the car, also a resident of the 2500 block of Cecil Ave., told police the thief escaped with a camera and a cassette player and that entry was gained by forcing open a rear door.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1700 block of E. 29th St. reported that someone broke into his home by forcing open the basement door and stole a VCR and clothing. Police said the property was valued at nearly $400 and that a man known to the female victim was being sought.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police said a woman with a spray can of a chemical irritant thwarted a robbery Monday night in the 2800 block of Hamilton Ave. The victim, a resident of the 6200 block of Catalpha Road, told police she was stopped by a man around 9 p.m. Monday who pointed what appeared to be a toy gun at her while demanding her money. When the woman realized the gun was a toy, she reached into her purse and withdrew the can. Fearing he would be sprayed in the face, police said, the man fled without robbing the woman.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that over the weekend someone broke into the home of a man who died recently and stole property valued at nearly $1,200. Police said entry in the house in the 3100 block of Glendale Road was gained by forcing open a basement door and that several pieces of household items were stolen.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- A man with a handgun and carrying a note demanding money robbed a rental firm yesterday of more than $200. Employees of Rent-A-Center in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane told police the man entered the store shortly after 4 p.m. and gave one of them a note demanding money. During the robbery, the man displayed a handgun. After being given the money, the gunman ran out the front door and escaped.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 700 block of W. Saratoga St. reported she was in the 800 block of W. Saratoga St. over the weekend when she was stopped by a man with a handgun who robbed her of her purse, $5 and a bottle containing medicine prescribed for high blood pressure.
SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 2100 block of Druid Hill Ave. was listed today in critical condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after she was shot in the back around 8 p.m. yesterday. Police said Lawrence Pratt was in the 3200 block of Woodbrook Ave. last night when he was attacked by a man who shot him in the back. Police said the gunman escaped and that Pratt was unable to identify his assailant.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a man with a handgun stopped a man yesterday in the 500 block of Baker St. and robbed him of his money. The victim, who lives in the 2200 block of Druid Hill Ave., told police he was walking alone about 10 p.m. Monday when he was stopped by a gunman who pressed the weapon to his head and demanded he give up his money. Police said the victim complied, giving the gunman his wallet that contained nearly $200.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 200 block of N. Gilmor St. reported he was home late Monday night when he answered a knock at his door. Upon opening the door, police said, the victim was pushed back inside by two men, one with a handgun, who fled after robbing the occupant of $200.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 4900 block of Queensberry Ave. in Pimlico reported he was in the 2400 block of Pennsylvania Ave. around 5 a.m. yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one carrying a handgun, who robbed him of his wallet containing cash, credit cards and identification.
SHOOTING: Southwestern District -- Police said Anthony Jackson, of the 2100 block of Chelsea Terrace, was listed today in good condition at the University of Maryland Medical Center after he was shot in the leg early yesterday during an incident in the 3700 block of Windsor Mill Road. Police said the gunman escaped and that they had no motive for the shooting.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police today were seeking three men in connection with the assault and robbery last night of a resident of the 300 block of S. Pulaski St. The victim told police she was in the 2100 block of Ramsay St. yesterday evening when she was accosted by three men who threatened to harm her if she didn't give up her money and jewelry. Police said the men escaped after robbing the victim of her cash and a ring. The property, police said, was valued at $70.

TRASH FIRES: White Marsh District -- Police reported that someone set fire early today to the contents of three trash containers along a stretch of Pulaski Highway. The fires, police said, were set between midnight and 1 a.m. behind Bill's Carpet Barn in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway and in the rear of the Dollar Store at the Rosedale Plaza in the 1700 block of Chesaco Ave. The third fire was set behind the Burger King restaurant in the 8300 block of Pulaski Highway. Police said the fires were extinguished by the fire department and that none of the buildings were damaged.
THEFT: Cockeysville District -- A resident of an apartment building in the 200 block of Duke of York Lane reported that someone stole her electric clothes dryer from a basement storage locker. Police said the appliance was valued at $400 and that the theft occurred over the weekend.
BURGLARY: Cockeysville District -- A guest at the Courtyard Hotel in the 200 block of International Circle in Hunt Valley reported that someone broke into his room Sunday evening while he was out and stole a gold bracelet and a gold ring. Police said the jewelry was valued at $400 and that entry was gained by forcing open the door.
Anne Arundel County
STABBING/ARREST: Annapolis -- Police reported a 33-year-old man charged with stabbing his girlfriend over the weekend remains in custody at the county Detention Center after his bail was reduced from $1 million to $250,000. Police said Anthony Arthur Bradford, of the 1000 block of Madison St. in Annapolis, was arrested Sunday in the living room of his girlfriend's apartment in the Harbour House complex in the 1100 block of Madison St. He was charged with assault with intent to murder the woman, identified as Carol Anderson. Ms. Anderson, whose age was not available, was stabbed in the face, shoulder, arms and chest and was in serious but stable condition today at the Maryland Shock Trauma Center. Police said the argument was drug related and that drug paraphernalia were found in the apartment. In the kitchen sink, police found a 6-inch long knife believed to be the weapon used in the stabbing.
ROBBERY: Glen Burnie -- A Glen Burnie woman reported that she was getting out of her car near her home in the 7100 block of Furnace Branch Road over the weekend when she was approached from behind by a man who stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with cash and property, all of unknown value.
DRUG ARREST: Brooklyn Park -- Police arrested a Pasadena man over the weekend and charged him with possession of LSD. Police said officers working a drug and alcohol detail noticed a man seated in a car parked outside the Flamingo Inn in the 5200 block of Sixth St. early Friday morning and asked him for identification. When the man opened the glove compartment, the officers noticed a small plastic bag. Inside the bag, the officers found a square piece of paper with LSD on it. Taken to the Northern District station and charged with possession of LSD was Thomas Lee Willis, 28, of the 1700 block of Grandview Road.
BURGLARY: Brooklyn Park -- A resident of the 100 block of W. Hilltop Road reported that someone broke into his home by forcing open a door and stole several pieces of stereo equipment. Police said the property was valued at nearly $2,000.
