Essex freshman tops women

Freshman Kendra Cameron of Essex Community College won the women's all-events title with a pinfall of 2,390, as the annual National Junior College Athletic Association bowling championships ended a two-day run yesterday at the Brunswick Crown Lanes in the Hawthorne Shopping Center.

Erie CC won the women's team title, 12,871, with Essex CC third, 11,163, and Dundalk CC eighth, 10,355.

David Bartlett won the men's all-events with 2,553, and led Vincennes University to the team title with 13,985.

Essex CC was fourth, 12,718; Catonsville CC, eighth, 11,871; and Dundalk CC, 10th, 9,786.

Team scores: Vincennes 13,985; Dutchess 13,524; Erie 13,460; Essex 12,718; Fulton-Montgomery 12,421; Mohawk Valley 12,412; Cuyahoga 12,379; Catonsville 11,871; Prince George's 11,656; Dundalk 9,786.

Individuals: Singles--Ray Filipkowski, Dutchess, 753. Doubles--David Bartlett-Brian Graham, Vincennes, 1,318. All-events--David Bartlett, Vincennes, 2,553.

WOMEN

Team scores: Erie 12,871; Vincennes 12,379; Essex 11,163; Hudson Valley 11,052; Suffolk 10,863; Mohawk Valley 10,766; Dutchess 10,359; Dundalk 10,355.
