FORT WASHINGTON -- The favorites prevailed in both halves on Rosecroft's daily double last night. The Callahan-stabled Craig Again N($4.40) took the first race, and the Perry-stabled Happy Pretender($4.00) captured the second race to form a $9.80 daily double payoff.
Craig Again N won his third race in four starts for driver Greg Callahan, along with Craig Callahan and trainer, Robin Callahan. The winner's 1:58.4 mile occurred in a claiming/handicap pace.
Happy Pretender swept into command by the five-eighths pole and cruised home thereafter for driver/trainer Chuck Perry,Jr., along with owners, Frank and Jane Perry. It was the winner's first career victory.
