WEED BILL APPROVED

THE BALTIMORE SUN

The House Environmental Matters Committee has passed a bill that would allow Carroll government to investigate and abate weed nuisances, a function previously performed by the county Health Department.

The legislation, requested by the county commissioners and sponsored by the Carroll delegation, is needed because of Health Department budget cuts.

It is being considered on the House floor.
