THEFT: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of McCulloh St. reported that when he returned home Monday evening he discovered $40 was missing from his bedroom and that two friends who were staying with him were also gone.
ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- Police said an argument between two men inside an apartment in the 100 block of N. Fremont Ave. Monday night ended when one of them was burned with grease. Police said one of the men threw a frying pan at Van Summerville, of the first block of Candlewood Court in western Baltimore County. The pan hit a wall, causing hot grease to splash Mr. Summerville in the face. Police said Mr. Summerville was taken to a hospital for treatment and released. The other man fled the apartment.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 2200 block of Braddish Ave. reported that someone broke into her home and stole a TV and a VCR. Police said the property was valued at $400.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 2000 block of W. North Ave. was walking in the 1900 block of W. North Ave. early yesterday when he was attacked by three men who struck him over the head with an unknown sharp object and robbed him of his wallet containing $40.
ROBBERY: Western District -- A resident of the 2300 block of Odell Ave. told police he was leaving a tavern in the 900 block of W. Saratoga St. shortly before 1 a.m. yesterday when he was attacked from behind by three men who forced him into an alley and robbed him. The victim told police the three men ripped his pants and removed more than $300 from his pockets.
SHOOTING: Western District -- Police said Leon Benjamin, of the 1800 block of N. Appleton St., was taken to a hospital early yesterday and treated for a bullet wound that he suffered during an argument with another man inside a house in the 1600 block of N. Monroe St. Police said an argument that began inside the house spilled outside. Police said when Mr. Benjamin turned to go back into the house, the other man pulled out a .38-caliber handgun and shot him. Police said the bullet wound was not serious and that Mr. Benjamin was expected to be released.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police said a resident of the 2700 block of W. Lanvale St. was walking in the 2000 block of W. Baltimore St. around 4 a.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a man who placed a razor to his neck and demanded his money. Police said the armed man robbed the victim of $3 and a portable radio, all valued at nearly $40, before escaping.
ROBBERY: Western District -- Police today were seeking two men who assaulted a man in the 2300 block of N. Fulton Ave. yesterday afternoon and robbed him of several hundred dollars. Police said the victim, a resident of the first block of W. 20th St., was walking alone around 1:30 p.m. when he was stopped by two men, one of whom asked him for a cigarette. Police said one of the men then grabbed the victim around the arms while his accomplice pointed a gun at the victim and robbed him of more than $600.
BURGLARY: Western District -- A resident of the 3400 block of Hillsmere Ave. told police that someone broke into a house she owns in the 1900 block of W. Lanvale St. between Monday night and yesterday afternoon and stole a washing machine. Police said the appliance was valued at $300.
THEFT: Western District -- Employees of Cloverland Dairy in the 2300 block of N. Monroe St. reported that someone entered the warehouse over the weekend and stole several gallons of orange juice. Police said the juice was valued at more than $40.
ASSAULT: Central District -- A resident of the 400 block of Robert St. reported he was walking near his home shortly before 7:30 p.m. yesterday when he was attacked by a man who struck him several times with a length of metal. Police said the victim, Robert Byrd, was taken to the University of Maryland Medical Center for treatment and was released. Police said no arrest had been made and Mr. Byrd was unable to give a reason for the attack.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Police said two men, one armed with a handgun, forced their way into a home shortly before 6 p.m. yesterday and robbed the occupant of property and cash after handcuffing him. Police said the victim was able to free himself and report the robbery. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $200.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Police today were seeking two men who accosted a resident of the 200 block of Dolphin St. as she walked near her home around 7:30 p.m. yesterday and robbed her of nearly $100 in property. Police said one of the men was armed with a handgun.
ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 1800 block of St. Paul St. reported he was walking near his home around 9 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by two men, one armed with a handgun, who forced him to give up his money and personal items. Police said the gunman and his accomplice escaped with cash and property, all valued at more than $900.
ROBBERY: Central District -- Police reported a man who implied he was armed with a handgun robbed a delicatessen yesterday. Police said a man entered the A-1 Deli in the 600 block of N. Eutaw St. shortly before 9 p.m. and ordered an employee to give him the contents of the cash register while implying he was armed with a weapon. Police said after the man was given an undisclosed sum, he ran out the front door and escaped.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Employees of Z's restaurant in the 5400 block of Harford Road reported that someone walked behind the counter yesterday afternoon and stole a bank bag containing more than $500 and a check for more than $300.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3200 block of Rosalie Ave. reported that someone broke into his outdoor storage shed between Feb. 24 and yesterday and stole a 4-horsepower outboard motor and several hand tools. Police said entry was gained by breaking a lock and that the value of the property was not known.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said property valued at more than $300 was stolen form a house in the 4800 block of Greencrest Road after someone gained entry by breaking out a pane of glass in a basement door. Police said the intruder escaped with a large quantity of coins and several bottles of cologne.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5000 block of Orville Ave. reported that someone entered the front yard of his home yesterday and stole a 20-inch multi-speed bike. Police said the bike was valued at $300.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police said someone broke into a car that was parked in the 3800 block of Cedarhurst Road yesterday and stole an AM-FM stereo radio. The owner of the car, a resident of the 3800 block of Cedarhurst Road, told police the property was valued at nearly $400 and that entry was gained through a door.
THEFT: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3800 block of Crestlyn Road told police that when she returned home from work yesterday, she discovered her watch was missing. The victim told police the watch was valued at nearly $180 and that she suspects the watch was taken by a friend who stayed overnight and also was gone when she arrived home.
THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to the Ames department store in the 2500 block of Belair Road yesterday arrested a resident of the 2400 block of E. Preston St. and were holding him pending charges of theft. Police said the man tied to leave the store without paying for several bottles of tropical oil, valued at nearly $40, but was stopped by a store security officer. Police said the man was held overnight at the Eastern District pending theft charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.
THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Charges of theft were pending today against a man who attempted to leave the Farm Fresh store in the 2400 block of Belair Road without paying for a package of steaks and two cans of tuna fish. Police said the food products were valued at nearly $20 and that the man was being held at the Eastern District pending theft charges.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men reported to police that while they were in the 1600 block of N. Rosedale St. shortly before noon Monday they were accosted by a man armed with a handgun who demanded their money. Police said one victim, a resident of the 2600 block of Harlem Ave., was robbed of more than $70. His companion, a resident of the 2600 block of Rayner Ave., told police the gunman robbed him of more than $130.
ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1400 block of Stevenson St. reported to police that during an incident with a woman in the 1400 block of Forest Hill Ave. yesterday, he was struck with a rifle. Police said the man was not seriously injured and that the woman was being sought.
BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1400 block of DeSoto Road reported that someone broke into his home yesterday and stole property valued at more than $500.
ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3300 block of N. Hilton St. reported that while he was driving in the 5200 block of Windsor Mill Road yesterday evening, he became involved in a dispute with another motorist and his passenger. Police said when the two motorists stopped their cars in a nearby parking lot to continue the argument, the one motorist and his passenger attacked the other man and struck him with a tire iron. Police said the men also damaged the victim's car before they drove off. Police said the victim did not require medical treatment.
ASSAULT: Southwestern District -- Police said an argument between two men in the 300 block of Stinson St. yesterday resulted in one of the men, a resident of the 2000 block of W. Fairmount Ave., being struck several times with a hammer. Police said the victim was not seriously injured and that his assailant was being sought.

ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police reported that a man armed with a knife entered the Hardee's restaurant in the 6600 block of Security Blvd. shortly after 11 p.m. yesterday and forced the manager to give him the contents of a cash register. Police said the armed men fled with an undisclosed sum.
ROBBERY: Cockeysville District -- A Towson resident reported he was leaving the McDonald's restaurant at Timonium and York roads shortly after 10 p.m. yesterday when he was accosted by four men, one armed with a knife, who forced him to give up his money. Following the robbery, the victim drove home and reported the incident to police.
ROBBERY: Woodlawn District -- Police said a man armed with a sawed-off shotgun robbed the High's dairy store in the 8000 block of Liberty Road last night. An employee told police that the man entered the store shortly before 11 p.m., pulled out the weapon and demanded money from the cash register. Police said the employee complied, giving the gunman cash and several rolls of coins.
Anne Arundel County
ROBBERY: Glen Burnie -- Police reported that a 39-year-old nurse was assaulted and robbed yesterday evening by two men, one armed with an unknown caliber handgun, as she was about to enter her home. Police said the victim arrived at her home around 7:30 p.m. and was getting out of her car when she was approached from behind by two men wearing stocking masks who ordered her to give up her purse. Police said when the nurse did not comply fast enough, one of the men repeated the order and then placed the muzzle of a gun to the left side of the victim's head. After grabbing the nurse's purse, the man threw her makeup case onto the pavement before he and his accomplice fled on foot, running toward the Willows Apartments.
ROBBERY: Glen Burnie -- Two men reported to police that while they were walking home from the Chesapeake Shopping Center, they were accosted by two youths who robbed them of their jackets. Police said the victims, both residents of the 1300 block of Aster Court, reported they were walking home around 9:20 a.m. yesterday when they were stopped by teen-agers who demanded the jackets they were wearing. Police said when the victims continued walking, one of the teen-agers said to his companion, "Shoot 'em." Police said both victims then stopped and gave up their jackets. Police said the teen-agers escaped, running toward Shelly Road. The victims told police no weapon was displayed during the robbery, but that they were convinced that one of the teen-agers was armed.
