Residency bill

THE BALTIMORE EVENING SUN

By a ratio of 70 percent to 30 percent, or a count of 239-102 from 341 responses, most callers to SUNDIAL say Baltimore should not hire only city residents for city government jobs.

Most callers (244 of 337, or 72 percent) say a residency law would hurt the city's relationships with neighboring counties, while 93 callers (27 percent) say it would not.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
