Rudolph L. Wilson

Rudolph L. Wilson, retired credit manager at McCormick & Co., died Monday of cancer at the Catonsville home of his sister-in-law. He was 81.

Services for Mr. Wilson will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the chapel in the Charlestown Retirement Community, 715 Maiden Choice Lane.

He started at McCormick's as an office boy in 1929. When he retired in 1970 as credit manager, he was a member of the company's junior and factory boards.

Born in Crisfield, he was raised in Baltimore and graduated from City College.

He moved to Charlestown in 1983, and was a founder of a non-denominational Protestant congregation there and author of the original bylaws of the Residents Council.

His first wife, the former Helen Shelton, died in 1970. His second wife, the former Betty Kelly, died in 1983.

He is survived by a sister, Mary Helen Nelson of Catonsville; a brother-in-law, Rodney Shelton of Catonsville; a sister-in-law, Marie Shelton, also of Catonsville; and many nieces and nephews.
