An excellent production of the lusty musical "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" is on stage at TowsonTowne Dinner Theatre through April 5.
With outstanding choreography and direction by Todd Pearthree, the musical offers high voltage performances by a very talented cast.
This backwoods comedy set in 1850 Oregon concerns the misadventures of a young bride, her cynical husband and his six uncouth brothers. The brothers get the bright idea to kidnap six city girls for the purpose of marriage and the fun begins.
First-rate are Liz Boyer, Mark Blackburn, Edward J. Peters, Ernie Ritchey, Billy Burke, Holly Pasciullo and a strong male and female chorus that excels in dancing and singing the wonderful Johnny Mercer and Gene dePaul numbers.
This rollicking, high-kicking production of "Seven Brides for Seven Brothers" with its attractive rustic set makes for light-hearted, sheer entertainment.
