MIAs & POWs

THE BALTIMORE EVENING SUN

Slightly less than two-thirds of the callers to SUNDIAL (148 of 234, or 63 percent) think there are unaccounted-for American prisoners of war and missing in action who are still alive. Eighty-six callers (36 percent) say none are still alive.

Answers about those POWs and MIAs can be found in Russia, say 130 of 235 callers (55 percent), while 105 callers (44 percent) disagree.

Sixty-six percent, or 155 of 233 callers, say the Russians are sincere about offering to help, while 78 callers (33 percent) say the Russians are not sincere.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
