Vitalis V. Pilius, a support technician for Hewlett-Packard Co., was found slain Thursday, two days after being abducted from a downtown Baltimore parking garage.

A Mass of Christian burial for Mr. Pilius will be offered at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. Alphonsus Roman Catholic Church, 114 W. Saratoga St.

The Catonsville resident had worked for Hewlett-Packard in Baltimore for three years and was between service calls for the company when he was abducted. He previously worked as a chemist for McCormick & Co. in Hunt Valley.

The Baltimore native, who was 37, was a member of several Lithuanian organizations, including the Baltimore-Lithuanian Athletic Club. He was a member of a Woodbridge Valley neighborhood association and was a coach for the Our Lady of Victory boys' soccer team.

When he was a boy, his family moved from Baltimore to Cleveland, and then to Kennebunkport, Maine, where he graduated from high school. The family returned to Baltimore in 1970.

Mr. Pilius received a bachelor's degree in chemistry from Johns Hopkins University in 1988.

He was a member of St. Alphonsus Church.

Surviving are his wife, the former Aldona Theresa Drazdys; four sons, Tomas, Darius, Vitas and Jonas; his parents, Vladas and Anele Pilius of Arbutus; a brother, Linas Pilius of Catonsville; and a sister, Vida Vaskys of Sykesville.
