Speed skating: Gunda Niemann of Germany looks for a long-distance medal sweep in today's 5,000 meters after winning the 3,000 and taking silver in the 1,500.

Figure skating: French stars Isabelle and Paul Duchesnay moved into second place overall after the original dance, but they may not be able to overtake Russians Marina Klimova and Sergei Ponomarenko in tonight's final performance.
