St. John's College of Annapolis and Santa Fe, N.M., has received thelargest single gift in its history, a $3.4 million trust from Mara and Charles Robinson of Santa Fe.

The Robinsons are active supporters of the college, with careers that span both the performing arts and government.

ENDOWMENT FUND STARTED

The Severn RiverAssociation is marking its 80th anniversary with the creation of theSevern River Association Education Endowment Fund.

The association is seeking contributions amounting to $10,000 with every dollar earmarked for this special purpose.

The intent is to preserve the principal and use the annual income for funding projects, including an Anne Arundel Community College scholarship in the environmental sciences, conducting a research project to benefit the Severn River and creating an environmental curriculum at the college.

The association is asking for both personal and corporate contributions for the fund.
