Gregory V. Dixon

Gregory Virgil Dixon, who adopted the stage name Christopher Cody Dixon and was studying for a career in the theater, died Jan. 29 of pneumonia at a hospital in New York City, where he had lived since 1985.

A memorial service for Mr. Dixon, 28, will be held at 7 p.m. tomorrow at Immaculate Conception Roman Catholic Church, 1512 Druid Hill Ave.

He appeared in productions at the Kennedy Center in Washington, at Bowie State University and at North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University.

The Baltimore native graduated from Douglass High School before attending the two universities.

His survivors include two brothers, James and Joseph Dixon, both of Baltimore; and many nieces, nephews and grandnieces.
