BURGLARY: Southern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of Cleveland St. reported that someone broke into his home through the front door and stole tools, a watch and a hair dryer, valued at a total of more than $600.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Police said an employee of Vizzini's, a pizza shop in the 2100 block of W. Patapsco Ave., was delivering a food order to a house in the 800 block of Seagull Ave. Tuesday night when he was accosted by four men, who robbed him of his money, a watch and the pizza he was to deliver, with a total value of nearly $50.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, stopped a woman walking in the 3400 block of Spellman Road yesterday and robbed her of $100 before fleeing.
BURGLARY/ARREST: Southern District -- A police officer responding to a report of a burglary in the first block of E. Ostend St. spotted a man near the house and arrested him. Officer James Bryant reported the man had tools and a ceiling fan that were traced to the home that was broken into. Police said the property was valued at nearly $400. Charged with burglary and held overnight at the station pending a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner was Michael Sykes, a resident of the first block of E. Ostend St.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- A man walking in the 900 block of Seagull Ave., Cherry Hill, shortly before 8 a.m. yesterday was stopped by two men, who robbed him of more than $100.
BURGLARY: Southern District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 800 block of E. Fort St. yesterday evening and stole property valued at more than $800.
BURGLARY: Southern District -- Employees of Empire Auto Sales, in the 3900 block of S. Hanover St., reported that someone broke into the storage shed and stole property valued at nearly $1,900.
ROBBERY/ARREST: Southern District -- Police arrested a man and were holding him at the station pending charges that he assaulted an employee of a food store in the 400 block of E. Patapsco Ave. yesterday afternoon before fleeing with property valued at nearly $32. Police said a clerk at Save On Food at 413 E. Patapsco Ave. reported he was waiting on the man, who shoved him aside and stole the property. Police said the suspect was arrested a short distance from the store without incident.
ROBBERY: Southern District -- A Baltimore County woman reported she was standing on the front steps of a house in the first block of S. Parkin St. yesterday evening when a man walked up to her and grabbed her purse. Police said the woman struggled with the man over the purse but he made off with it after a strap broke. Police said the man escaped with cash and property valued at nearly $50.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 3900 block of Rexmere Road reported that someone entered his home through an unlocked door and stole a 35mm camera valued at more than $300.
SHOOTING: Northeastern District -- A 17-year-old was standing inside a carryout in the 1600 block of Gorsuch Ave. around 7:30 p.m. yesterday when someone outside fired a shot that struck him in the left leg. Police said the victim, Jones Rockwell 3rd, was taken to Union Memorial Hospital and was listed today in good condition. Police said they had no motive for the shooting and no arrest.
ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- As a resident of the 1500 block of Winford Road left her home yesterday evening, two men stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at more than $100. Police said the victim was not injured.
BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police said someone broke into a dwelling in the 5700 block of Cedonia Ave. through the bedroom window Tuesday night or yesterday morning and stole a VCR valued at nearly $300.
THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to a shoplifting at the K mart in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane arrested a woman who attempted to leave the store without paying for stereo equipment valued at more than $100. Police said she was held overnight at the Women's Detention Center at the Central District pending theft charges.
THEFT: Northern District -- A resident of the 2600 block of Mathews St. reported that while his 1990 Chevrolet pickup truck was parked near his home Tuesday, someone broke into it and stole nearly $400 worth of tools.
THEFT: Northern District -- Officials of Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. reported that someone stole a ring on display inside a building on campus. Police said the ring was valued at more than $400.
THEFT: Northern District -- Someone broke into a car parked in the 5500 block of Greenspring Ave. over the weekend and stole a radar detector and cassette tapes. The owner of the car told police the property was valued at more than $300 and that entry was gained by forcing a vent window.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 700 block of Melville Ave. reported he was walking in the 400 block of E. 33rd St. yesterday afternoon when he was attacked by a man who knocked him to the ground, pulled out a knife and demanded his money. Police said the robber took several hundred dollars and escaped on foot.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- Police said a man walking in the 1000 block of W. 36th St. shortly before 5 p.m. yesterday was stopped by a man who kept one hand in a jacket pocket as though armed while robbing him of about $60.
ROBBERY: Northern District -- A resident of the 4700 block of Wrenwood Ave. reported she was about to enter her home yesterday evening when a man with a handgun followed her onto the porch and stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $100.
BURGLARY: Northern District -- Someone entered the unlocked room of a student at Johns Hopkins University in the 3400 block of N. Charles St. and stole a wallet containing $80.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man with a handgun accosted a pedestrian in the 3300 block of Elgin Ave. Tuesday night and robbed him of $60.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 2100 block of Ramsay St. reported he was in the 2400 block of Frederick Ave. Tuesday afternoon when he was attacked by three men who knocked him to the pavement and robbed him of his money and valuables, all valued at more than $300.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Police said a woman walking in the 4600 block of Lawnpark Ave. around noon yesterday was approached from behind by a man who stole her purse, which contained cash and property valued at nearly $75.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 1900 block of Hilton St. was walking in the 1900 block of W. Pratt St. with a bag containing groceries yesterday afternoon when he was approached from behind by a man who knocked him to the pavement and stole the groceries, which were valued at nearly $25.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Two men, one with a handgun, accosted a couple yesterday afternoon as they walked in the 800 block of Poplar Grove St. and stole their money and property. Police said the woman was robbed of her watch, valued at more than $100, and her companion was robbed of $80.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man reported he was in the 1400 block of Poplar Grove St. around 5 p.m. yesterday when he was stopped by a man with a handgun who robbed him of $3.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of Colborne Road told police he was walking in the alley behind his home yesterday evening when he was accosted by a man who forced him to give up his wallet, which contained nearly $100.
ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- A man with a knife accosted a resident of the 4600 block of Coleherne Road outside his home yesterday evening and stole his 1987 Nissan.
Baltimore County
ROBBERY TRY: Parkville District -- A man with a handgun attempted to rob a Kentucky Fried Chicken restaurant in the 7300 block of McClean Blvd. last night. Police said the gunman entered the restaurant around 9:15 p.m. and announced a holdup, then jumped over the counter. Police said an employee pushed an alarm button and the man jumped back over the counter and ran out the front door.
Anne Arundel County
BURGLARY: Crofton -- Someone broke into an office building in the 2200 block of Defense Highway over the weekend and stole more than $1,200. Police said a screwdriver was used to pry open the doors to several offices, and file cabinets and desk drawers were forced open and ransacked. Two employees of the building told police they saw a man leaving the premises around 2 p.m. Sunday. They told police the man said he was a construction worker, but no construction work was done in the building Sunday.
BURGLARY: Gambrills -- A resident of the 900 block of Annapolis Road reported that someone broke into his home through a door and stole a motorcycle of undetermined value.
Carroll County
ROBBERY: Westminster -- An unarmed man robbed the High's dairy store on East Main Street of an undisclosed sum. Police said a man, described as Hispanic, entered the store around 4:30 p.m. Saturday and placed items on the counter. After the clerk rang up the purchase, the man pulled out a black bag and told the clerk to place the cash register's contents in it. After retrieving the bag, the man ran out the front door and escaped.
Howard County
DRUG ARRESTS: Laurel -- A man remains in custody and his wife was free on bail following their arrests Monday when police raided their home in the 9200 block of Livery Lane that police believe to be the center of a drug network. Charged with possession of marijuana with intent to distribute and held in the county detention center in lieu of $5,000 bond is Alan James Snead, 28. His wife, Shawn Snead-Creasey, 25, was charged with the same offense and was released after posting $5,000 bond. Seized by police during the raid were 2 pounds of marijuana valued at $10,000. Also seized were two 7.62mm assault rifles; a .380 pistol; a 9mm semiautomatic handgun; a .357 Magnum revolver; $1,000 in cash, and the couple's restored 1971 Dodge Challenger. Police said the five-month undercover investigation of the couple's alleged drug activities indicated that 5 to 10 pounds of marijuana were being sold out of the house each week.
BURGLARY: Columbia -- Employees of SGM Bindery in the 8900 block of Route 108 reported that someone broke into the building and stole a computer printer and video monitor. Police said entry was gained by forcing the front door. The value of the equipment was not immediately known.
BURGLARY: Laurel -- A resident of the 8700 block of Cardinal Forest Circle reported that someone broke into his outdoor storage shed and stole a leaf blower, an air compressor and other items.
