Suggestion -- Since Oriole Park at Camden Yards is modeled after an old-time ballpark, how about bringing back the tradition of serving local suds? Three local breweries could serve tap beer: Sisson's, Baltimore Brewing Co. and Oxford Class.

Thanks for writing and for reading. As a former wine steward and one-time busboy, I find your columns in the food section quite interesting and particularly enjoyed your recent series on the secret lives of chocolate eclairs.

On to your question. At present, ARA Services, the caterer at the new ballpark, has no plans to offer the beers you mentioned or any others produced exclusively by local breweries. This is not etched in hops, though. Jay Boyle, ARA general manager, seemed to approach this idea with an open mind, and menu.

"I'm always willing to talk to just about anybody about new products," he said. "All they have to do is give me a call." Attention brew masters: He's in the book.
