Catherine Wenger, who was active in the parents' clubs of both McDonogh and Roland Park Country schools, died Monday of heart disease at her home on Boyce Avenue in Towson. She was 73.

Services for Mrs. Wenger will be held at noon tomorrow at Towson Presbyterian Church, Chesapeake and Highland avenues.

She had been on the board of the McDonogh School Parents Club and chaired its Christmas bazaars and was a member of the parents' group at Roland Park Country School.

The former Catherine Anne Gehrett was a native of Huntingdon, Pa., and a graduate of Juniata College, where she headed the student council and was May and homecoming queen. She moved to Baltimore in 1950.

Her husband, Dr. Alvin P. Wenger, is a former head of otolaryngology at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center, where he is director of the Milton J. Dance Jr. Cancer Head and Neck Rehabilitation Center.

Besides her husband, Mrs. Wenger's survivors include a daughter, Suzanne Redmond of Towson; a son, Alvin P. Wenger III of Laguna Beach, Calif.; and two grandchildren.
