Capital Gazette wins special Pulitzer Prize citation for coverage of newsroom shooting that killed five

Beating suspects described 2 hunted in assault on policeman.


Baltimore County police have distributed a sketch of a suspect wanted in the beating of Officer Darryl Chesney on rural Harris Mill Road about 8:25 p.m. Jan. 28.

The suspect is described as about 40 years old, 5 feet 6 or 7 inches tall, with a stocky build and heavy New England accent.

He was driving a late 1970s beige Chevrolet Monte Carlo bearing dealer tag number 1A47651.

The tag was reported stolen from a car in a parking lot outside the Days Inn on Padonia Road in Timonium.

A second suspect sought in the beating of Officer Chesney, was released from the Maryland Shock Trauma Center Jan. 30.

He is described as a taller, white male with long, greasy brown hair.
