J. Morris Sanders Sr., an employee for 27 years of the Baltimore Gas and Electric Co., died Sunday of heart failure at a hospital in Keyser, W.Va. He was 90.
Services for Mr. Sanders were being held today at the Rotruck Funeral Home in Keyser.
Graveside services will be held at 1 p.m. tomorrow at Druid Ridge Cemetery, Park Heights Avenue and Old Court Road.
Mr. Sanders moved back to his native West Virginia from Northwood in 1970, four years after his retirement. He had worked in BG&E;'s gas distribution department.
Born in Cassville, W.Va., he was a 1922 graduate of Keyser High School. He was a salesman and operated a gasoline station in Keyser before moving to Baltimore.
He was a member of Govans United Methodist Church and later Northwood-Appold United Methodist Church in Baltimore.
More recently, he was a member of the men's Bible class and the United Methodist Men at Calvary United Methodist Church in Keyser.
He is survived by his wife, the former Mildred Umstot; two sons, James M. Sanders Jr. of Baltimore and William C. Sanders of Centerville, Ohio; five grandchildren; and seven rTC great-grandchildren.
