From 527 responses, callers to SUNDIAL say America has lost the work ethic, by a vote of 393 to 134 (74 percent vs. 25 percent). Even more emphatic, 428 callers out of 528 (81 percent vs. 18 percent) say standards have loosened.

Of 511 callers, 269 (52 percent) say the controversy with Japan will make them more likely to buy American, while 242 (47 percent) say they are less likely to buy American.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
