With arguably the best back-to-back games thishoops season, Wooster led the Panthers (12-1) to two wins and took over the county individual scoring lead.
Wooster, a 6-foot-5 seniorswingman who was the Anne Arundel County Sun Player of the Year as ajunior, hit a career-high 34 points twice last week.
Last Tuesday, in an 84-81 thriller over 16th-ranked South River (13-2), Wooster pumped in 34 points on 10 field goals -- four of them three-pointers -- and a 10-of-11 effort at the line. He also had 12 rebounds, two assists, three blocked shots and one steal.
Last Friday at Southern, Wooster bagged 34 more in a 92-75 romp over the Bulldogs (8-7). He went 12 of 20 from the floor (22 of 37 in two games, 59.4 percent), including 3 of 5 from three-point range, and was 7 of 10 in free throws.
Throw in 10 rebounds, and Wooster just missed a triple-double with seven assists. He also had three steals and two blocks.
The 68 points gave him the county scoring lead with a 23.2 average, compared with 22.1 for South River's Albert Lee. Wooster, who is being recruited by several Division I schools, including Georgetown, is averaging 8.2 rebounds.

McCray had the best overall performance in last Wednesday's Anne Arundel County Indoor Track Championships at Baltimore's 5th Regiment Armory.
The North County senior won two gold medals-- setting a county record in one event -- and finished runner-up inthe high hurdles.
With a time of 1:20.8 in the 500-meter run, McCray eclipsed the county record of 1:21.3 set by Old Mill's Christy Wright in 1988. McCray also won the high jump at five feet.
She covered the 55-meter high hurdles in 9.3 seconds, finishing behind Old Mill's Raina Domneys, who won the sprint and leap in 8.7 seconds.

With Old Mill staring at its first loss to a county team Friday night in Cape St. Claire, Himes stepped up and took over in the second half to pace the defending state 4A champions to a 51-47 victory over Broadneck (11-3).
The Patriots' victory halted the host Bruins' 41-game home winning streak.
Himes, a 5-foot-10 junior who was the Anne Arundel County Sun Class 4A Player of the Year as a sophomore, scored 12 of her 16 points in the second half to lead the Patriots. Her last two points came from the line in the final minute, and her rebound in the waning seconds iced Old Mill's eighth straight win.
