THE BALTIMORE SUN

Baltimore police said yesterday that they had no motive or suspects in a shooting Sunday night that left a 26-year-old man dead.

The victim, Jimmy Edward Ellis of the 2300 block of North Monroe Street, was found lying on the street in the 1100 block of Brentwood Avenue about 11 p.m. by officers responding to a report of a shoot- ing.

They said the victim was taken to Johns Hopkins Hospital, where he died about a half-hour later from a gunshot wound of the head.
