Fallston Pharmacy recently was recognized as one of the nation's outstanding independent drugstore retailers.

The Oct. 28 edition of Drug Topics, the news magazine for today's pharmacies, released its list of "independent superstars." Selections were made by the nation's drug wholesalers. Outstanding pharmacies were named in five categories -- excellence in pharmacy service, outstanding non-pharmacy services, overcoming competition, crisis management and other services.

Fallston Pharmacy, recognized for excellence in pharmacy services, is one of only 61 pharmacies nationwide selected for this honor. Pharmacies are evaluated on how well they understand the needs of theirmarkets and seek to meet them.

The pharmacy, located at 2112 Belair Road, in Fallston, is owned and operated by Anthony and Joan Courpas.

The full-service pharmacy recently added a patient-informationcomputer system to give patients easy access to information on all their medicines.
