A Glen Burnie man has been charged with robbing a Maryland City convenience store Friday morning.
County police said that a man walkedinto the 7-Eleven store in the 3400 block of Fort Meade Road at about 3 a.m. and threatened the clerk with a knife.
He demanded all the money from the cash register, which the clerkturned over to him.
A short time later, officers patrolling the area saw a man who fit the description of the robber and arrested him.
William Henry Burton, 31, of the 7800 block of Woodside Terrace, was charged with robbery with a deadly weapon.
LINTHICUM HOTEL ROBBEDTHURSDAY
Two men robbed a Linthicum hotel Thursday night, county police reported.
According to the police report, two men walked into the Comfort Inn in the 6900 block of Baltimore-Annapolis Boulevardat about 9:20 p.m. and jumped over the counter.
The bandits took money from the cash register before leaving the hotel in a late-modelChevrolet.
Police described the first robber as a black man weighing about 165 pounds, wearing a black hat and gray sweat shirt. The clerk could not provide police with a description of the second robber.
