Brian Link won the third Pro Spot Qualifier for the $150,000 Fair Lanes Open to be bowled Feb. 16-22 at Fair Lanes Woodlawn. Link, bowling at Fair Lanes University in Adelphi, rolled games of 219-267-246-216-227-2131,388 to win a place in the tournament and $300.
Jeff Harding finished second with 244-214-217-238-247-2031,363 and earned $275. Anthony Champman had 184-245-239-249-188-2371,342, good for third place and won $200.
The next Pro Spot Qualifier was set for today at Fair Lanes Woodlawn, and the final one is scheduled next Sunday at Fair Lanes Kings Point in Randallstown.
Duckpin high games: High duckpin games recorded last week at the Greenway Bowl East: John Schramm bowled a 201 and Rob Taylor had a 200 in the Open Mixed Doubles League and Jon Aluisy had a 200 in the Pro Triples League.
Also, Brenda Rebuck rolled a 193 in the Saturday Night Mixed League and Daryl Kroner had a 190 and 477 set in the Fire Department League.
Women's tour: The Women's All Star Association will begin its 14-city tour through five eastern states, with a pair of tournaments in the Baltimore area.
The Tour will begin March 21 with the Perry Hall Open at Brunswick Perry Hall Lanes. The next day, the Bel Air Open will be rolled at Bel Air Bowl.
Wiseman update: Danny Wiseman of Baltimore finished 29th in the recent AC-Delco Classic in Torrance, Calif., earning $1,320.
