The general manager of Carrol's Creek restaurant recently received the Foodservice Management Professional certificate, the highest professional credential awarded by the Educational Foundation of the National Restaurant Association.
A native Annapolitan, Richard McClure is one of only 12 recipients in Maryland. He has been in the restaurant business for 26 years, starting as a busboy at Howard Johnson and working as a waiter, bartender, restaurant manager, general manager and food chain manager.
His experience has taken him to restaurants in St. Louis and Washington and includes some of Annapolis' oldest establishments.
