ANNAPOLIS MAN MUGGED IN STORE LOT

A 51-year-old man was robbed of his camera equipment, wallet and jewelry Saturday afternoon in the parking lot of a Sears Roebuck & Co. store in Parole.

Police said Joseph Kent Suit of Annapolis was walking across the parking lot at about 12:15 p.m. when he was accosted by a passenger in a car who first asked for directions and then pulledout a small-caliber handgun.

After the holdup, the robbers drove onto Riva Road in the direction of Route 450, police said.

The passenger in the car is described as a black male in his 20s to early 30s with a heavy build and short, cropped hair. He was wearing a black hooded jacket and a black skull cap.

The driver of the car is described as a black male, 20 to 24 years old. He has a thin build and was wearing an L.A. Raiders jacket and a skull cap.

The car is described as a white, two-door compact, possibly a Nissan.
