This is what I call convenience: a deli and liquor store at the same location. Meats, cheeses and party platters are also available. Some gourmet food items such as flavored coffees and fancy preserves are also sold.

Personal-size pizzas are ready for take-out for just $2.79. Frozen Italian specialties from Velleggia's, the well-known Little Italy restaurant, are also sold. A hefty serving of lasagna, for example, is priced at $1.29.

The Festival, which has been open for two years, goes for gourmet with four different kinds of ham sandwiches, including prosciutto ham for $3.75.

The chili is always good. A small serving ($1.49) is the perfecaccompaniment to a chicken salad sandwich ($3.25).

Hot soups are always welcome this time of year. Recent "soup of the day specials" included cream of broccoli, Maryland crab and chicken noodle.

Italian cold cut submarines ($4.05) are on the menu, as well as specialty sandwiches such as rare roast beef, Genoa salami and pastrami, which range in price from $3.25 to $3.75.

All sandwiches are served with tomato, mayonnaise and kosher dill pickle. Cheese is 20 cents extra.

A variety of side dishes, including cole slaw, potato salad and pasta salad are also available. Entree-size salads, such as Italian or regular chef salad, are made to order.
